Steamboat: Our Favorite Restuarants

Steamboat is known for its Champagne powderTM and perfect summer weather, but many of our guests don’t know about some of the great restaurants that we have in town.

We hand-picked a few local’s favorites for you:

Freshies

Freshies is the perfect family-friendly breakfast and lunch spot. You’ll feel right at home here, the staff is friendly, it’s very kid-friendly, and the food is delicious, healthy, and fresh. Their breakfast options include pancakes, a variety of omelettes, granola, and fresh fruit. And for lunch you can have anything from soups, and salads, to burgers, and sandwiches. Come with the family and enjoy your meal on the outdoor patio!

Creekside Cafe and Grill

Creekside Cafe is a charming breakfast and lunch spot. For breakfast, you can have eggs benedict, an omelet, a croissant breakfast or even corned beef hash. For lunch, enjoy a salad, a sandwich, a burger or a gyro. Their beef is hormone free grass-fed yampa valley beef, and their bread is homemade. They are located in the historic Soda Creek building which was a laundry, a Montgomery Ward, a bakery and even a nightclub before it became Creekside Cafe in 1999.

They have a beautiful flower garden in the picturesque patio right by Soda Creek.

Cruisers Sub Shop

Cruisers is located on Lincoln Ave. and is the perfect place to go if you want to grab a quick bite for lunch, but you are not willing to sacrifice on quality. They offer a huge variety of subs and “toasties”. They also have some delicious smoothies. You can even call ahead and have your order ready for you to pick up. We love ordering some of their subs and taking them on our hikes!

Sunpies
Sunpies is more of a bar than a restaurant, but it’s definitely a local’s favorite. We love their sandwiches and their outdoor patio garden which is right on the river. We love watching the kayakers float by while eating the “cochon de lait” sandwiches, which are to die for! The atmosphere is very laid back and the staff is super friendly. Stop by here if you want to hang with the locals!
