Our Top 5 Local Activities for Families this Winter
After a busy day  or days  of travel, you’ve finally made it to Breckenridge! The kids are going bananas, you’re feeling a little stir crazy, too. And with all that excitement and pent up energy, it’s hard to focus on just which activity you want to do first. Let us help take the guess work out of planning and get you on track to adventure with this list of our favorite local activities for families.

Sledding
Frolic and play the reindeer way this season with FREE  yes FREE!  sledding at Carter Park in Breckenridge. All you need is your favorite sled and cold weather clothing (don’t forget your mittens and hat!). Pick up a sled from nearby grocery stores or shops for a great deal; prices start around $15.

Tubing
Bigger kids and adults can get their thrill on the bigger tubing hills at the Frisco Adventure Center where tubing picks up speed on a variety of lanes. Tubes are included in the hourly tubing rate with unlimited rides during your ticketed time. The Mountain Top Kids Museum
Little ones up to age five can explore and learn in this warm and fun environment located near Main Street Station shops and restaurants. Exhibits change seasonally and include STEM activities, dramatic play and all around good times!
Added bonus: during the winter, the museum offers Parents Night Out events on multiple days each week! Drop your little ones off for an evening of fun while you get out for a date night of your own.

Arts & Crafts
Create a special souvenir from your visit to Breckenridge by visiting one of our local art studios! Ready Paint Fire, located at the north end of Main Street (close to City Market) offers drop in studio time to paint or create using a variety of media. Ice Skating
Lace up your skates for a day of sliding and gliding around the ice at the Stephen C West Ice Arena! Located at the south end of Main Street just past Main Street Station, at the corner of South Park Ave and Boreas Pass, our local ice arena offers skate rentals, lessons and beginner skating tools to make your day great.
