Winter Park Resort
Winter Park was originally constructed by the City of Denver to serve as a–you guessed it–winter park for residents. The Winter Park Territory is home to the Ski + Ride School and is a great choice for families that want to hit the slopes together.

Mary Jane Territory
Mary Jane is a subsection of Winter Park Resort known for its challenging and renowned moguls runs. It has even developed a worldwide reputation for having some of the best bump skiing in North America. Note that about 75% of the runs are for more advanced skiers. But what makes Mary Jane most unique are the people who love it, carrying that passion through generations and preserving the mountain’s charm.

Rocky Mountain National Park
Rocky Mountain National Park has it all, including 8,000 foot elevations in the wetlands to more than 14,000 feet at top of Longs Peak. Late summer features alpine blooms and autumn provides the backdrop for the elk rut. Our favorite activities: scenic drives, wildlife watching, picnicking, fishing, horseback riding, driving Old Fall River Road or across Trail Ridge Road (the highest continuous highway in the US). Visit the Alpine Visitor Center (open May-Oct.) or hit the trails for snowshoeing (Oct-April). Pro tip: summer and autumn are high-traffic months. Visit Rocky Mountain National Park to learn the ideal times to hit the trails, the most up-to-date weather information, and the ranger-led activities.

Horseback Riding and Ranches
Take a trail ride to spot elk, deer, or coyote as you wind through the park on horseback. Many local stables and ranches offer tours from short, guided jaunts to 9-hour excursions to channel your inner rancher. Let the Rockies wow your sense of wonder as you connect with nature.

Fishing and Water Fun
Hook trout, bass, sunfish, salmon and more at one of the area’s fishing offerings. Popular spots include Big Thompson River, Fall River, and Marys Lake. Rocky Mountain National Park features spots like Mills Lake with its trout, suckers, and sculpin. Colorado fishing laws apply, so make sure your license is up-to-date. If your day includes kayaking, boating, and fishing, check out Lake Estes Marina for days of water-filled adventure.

Spend the morning with the family hiking the family-friendly Bear Lake Trail or drink in the Rockies along the moderate Gem Lake Trail. Up the fitness and get your workout in alongside Dream Lake and Nymph Lake when you traverse the Emerald Lake Trail. Rocky Mountain National Park has hikes accessible for multiple abilities. No matter the trail, the Rocky Mountain majesty will be right there with you. With 365 miles of extraordinary hiking trails, amazing day trips, and incredible wildlife and views, discover all the park’s majesty. Wildlife lectures, stargazing from Trail Ridge Road, and a kids’ junior ranger program add to the park’s adventure!

Property Damage Waiver
Enjoy peace of mind with our incidental damage protection.
SkyRun includes a property damage protection waiver on each reservation. The damage waiver covers damage to the property up to $1,500 so long as the damage is accidental and reported to SkyRun before your departure. It does not cover damage that is willful, the result of negligence, or damage caused by the misuse of household items. It also doesn’t cover unreported damage. SkyRun doesn’t charge our guests a refundable damage deposit in lieu of the waiver. Unlike a refundable damage deposit, the damage protection waiver is nonrefundable.
If during your rental of our property, you damage the real or personal property assigned to that property, SkyRun will cover the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to an amount not to exceed $1,500. Should the cost of the damage exceed $1,500 or does not meet the criteria for a “covered loss”, and the property owner’s insurance policy also does not cover the loss, then you shall be responsible for the full amount of the damage which will be charged to the credit card on file. Coverage is provided to you and all travelling companions that are staying in the home overnight during your stay.
Coverage is not provided for loss due to:
- Your intentional acts or gross negligence.
- Any damage that occurs if you are in violation of the terms and conditions (including but not limited to having more than maximum occupancy or having a party).
- Loss, theft or damage to any personal effects owned by you or brought on the covered stay by you.
- Loss, theft or damage caused by any person other than you or your traveling companions with whom you share the property reservation unless substantiated by a police report.
Your Duties in the Event of Damage. You must:
- Take all reasonable, necessary steps to protect the property and prevent further damage to it.
- Report the loss in writing (email ok) prior to check-out to the SkyRun staff.
- Provide us documentation such as pictures to substantiate the claim.
