The Kauffman House Museum is the only remaining pre-1900s log structure in Grand Lake. Ezra Kauffman, a hunting guide and trapper, built the home, which he and his family operated as a hotel until 1946. Today, the Grand Lake Area Historical Society operates and maintains the historic building as a museum. Take a guided tour to get a glimpse into the people and places that helped form the Grand Lake of today.

The historic boardwalk in downtown Grand Lake runs along Grand Avenue. Visit the many shops and boutiques to browse and find unique souvenirs. Check out artists’ galleries or grab a bite to each while enjoying the view.

Hook trout, bass, sunfish, salmon and more at one of the area’s fishing offerings. Popular spots include Big Thompson River, Fall River, and Marys Lake.
