As you ride up on the enclosed gondola, you’ll enjoy sweeping views of the surrounding landscape. At the top, you’ll be greeted with stunning views of Lake Dillon and the Continental Divide – it’s the perfect place for a family photo op.

Keystone Stables

Take a scenic ride through the Soda Creek Valley. The Keystone Stables offers both guided horseback tours and rides on horse-drawn wagons, taking you back in time to the lives of the area’s earliest settlers. You’ll learn all about the history of Keystone and its transition into a famous ski destination.

Lakeside Village

Experience tons of summer fun with numerous water activities at Lakeside Village. Explore the 5-acre lake by renting a paddle boat, canoe, kayak, or stand up paddle board. If you prefer to take in the beauty of the lake from dry land, you can enjoy playing one of the many lakeside yard games, relaxing in a hammock, or renting bikes for a family ride along the Keystone Bike Path.

Experience Fall Colors at Popular Leaf Peeping Destinations

Fall colors in the mountains may be brief, but they’re also beautiful. Every year, for a small window of time, the peaks explode with the bright hues of Aspen trees, putting on a truly spectacular show. Keystone is a great place to witness this beauty on full display, whether you choose to experience them on the trail or from the comfort of your car.

Hiking & Biking Trails for Fall Colors

The Keystone area provides options for both beginners and more seasoned hikers and bikers to experience the beauty of fall. For a leisurely look at the area’s Aspens, visitors can walk the 1.7 mile trail at the Old Dillon Reservoir. More experienced outdoor enthusiasts may prefer to get away from the crowds and fully immerse themselves in the stunning fall landscape on the 15.5 mile Keystone Gulch trail. This trail is ideal for both hiking and biking.

Scenic Drives in the Autumn

If you’d rather stay in the car and experience miles and miles of fall colors, there are plenty of roadways that wind through the Aspen trees in the mountains. For a fun day-trip away from the Keystone area, we recommend packing up the car for a drive on the Boreas Pass. This 20-mile scenic stretch takes you through the mountains to Breckenridge, offering plenty of views along the way.
