Breckenridge Oktoberfest: The Unofficial Kickoff of Autumn in Breck

Fall has finally come to beautiful Breckenridge, Colorado. With it comes not only an incredible change in Fall foliage, but also BEER! And lots of it.

This weekend, September 9-11, marks the annual unofficial kickoff to fall: Breckenridge Oktoberfest!

Like any good weekend-long festival, Oktoberfest begins Friday, September 9 at 2:00PM with a good, ole fashion street party. Beer starts flowing right at 2:00PM, alongside delicious catered food and dance-riffic live music! This blast of a good time goes down on Breckenridge’s Main Street until 6:00PM, or whenever people decide to move on.

Immediately following the Oktoberfest Main Street Party will be the annual Brewmaster Dinner from 6:30PM - 9:00PM. Tickets for this exclusive event sold out nearly immediately after they were available. That’s just fine! Take the opportunity to get some good sleep, the real party rages on for two more days!

Saturday

Get up and out early to experience all the events of Saturday of Breck Oktoberfest.

Strap on those trainers and get ready to run! The first event on Saturday, Sept. 10 is a 5k trail run beginning at 10:00AM.

Also starting at 10:00AM is Breckenridge Brewery’s Oktoberfest Brunch. Reservations are required, but some seats are still available. The brewery keeps the exact menu secret, but the inside scoop is that Brunch will include 5 beer pairings over 4 courses! Come hungry, leave full (of beer).

If you can’t make it up that early, or miss out on Brunch reservations (it is a HOT ticket), don’t delay and get down to Main Street straight away! The second day of the Main Street Party begins at 11:00AM on Saturday and runs clear though till 6:00PM. That’s 7 hours of beer, beer, beer, and...you guessed it, beer! Be sure to snag a commemorative stein and beer tokens early, they tend to sell out by late Saturday afternoon.
