TGIFairplay Free Concert Series – Fairplay, CO – June 28, 2024
Enjoy live music at this free concert that takes place on 5th street in Fairplay. The music begins at 6:00 PM with Chris Daniels & the Kings taking the stage.

July
Fairplay Independence Day Celebration – Fairplay, CO – July 8, 2024
Each year, the town of Fairplay hosts an Independence Day celebration in honor of our Nation’s independence. The event kicks off in the morning with a 5k race through town and continues throughout the day with kids’ activities, food vendors, a parade, a free concert, and of course, fireworks as the grand finale.

Park County Fair – Fairplay, CO – July 12-21, 2-24
The Park County Fair delivers everything you want in a county fair, all at an elevation of 9,953 feet. There’s delicious fair food and carnival activities, rodeo events, livestock shows, and more for the entire family to enjoy.

Annual Burro Days – Fairplay, CO – July 26-28, 2024
An event truly like no other – the Burro Days celebration began in 1949 and continues today as a way to celebrate the role of the burro in the mining days of old. The weekend is packed with activities, including llama and dog races, live music, a parade, food and craft vendors, and more. But the main event, the World Championship Pack Burro Race, occurs on Sunday, with nearly 100 racers and their burros attempting to make the arduous climb over Mosquito Pass.

Elevation Music Festival – Alma, CO – August 16-17, 2024
Groove to the tunes of local and regional artists in the highest incorporated town in North America. Located at 10,578 feet above sea level, the town of Alma provides a stunning backdrop for this festival with sweeping mountain views all around. Plus, you’ll be supporting a good cause – each year a non-profit beneficiary is selected to receive a significant portion of the festival’s proceeds.

Living History Days at South Park City Museum – Fairplay, CO – May 15 – October 15, 2024
Step back in time at this representation of early mountain mining towns. This experience provides an accurate portrayal of a mining town between 1860 and 1900. It includes forty-four authentic buildings that are filled with over 60,000 artifacts. Seven of the buildings remain on their original sites, while the others were moved from abandoned camps and ghost towns in the South Park area.
