Egg-Stravaganza

If you’ve got kids, there are many places to go to hunt Easter eggs in Avon, Beaver Creek, and Vail. As a parent of a toddler myself, I am thrilled to take my little guy out and introduce him to a tradition that my family has long since celebrated and the Vail Valley has lots of options to choose from. Here’s the local information to make it a hopping and an egg-citing weekend.

This Saturday the 31st, beginning at 9:30am in Lionshead Village, the Easter Bunny will be making an appearance followed by the egg hunt at 10:00am. The wonderful thing about Vail is that it caters to even the youngest hunters, so they get a chance at the treats. The Town of Vail requests you bring your own baskets as they will not be supplying them.

If you are staying in Beaver Creek, you are in for a fun-filled event as the Easter Bunny is the Grand Marshall and will be participating in the official countdown to the hunt. He is also available for photo-ops through-out the day. The event starts at 10:30am and Beaver Creek supplies bags if needed.

If you decide to check out the Town of Avon hunt you will be in for quite a treat beginning at 10am-12pm. Families are welcome to participate in bouncy houses, games and a visit from the Easter Bunny. There will also be thousands of eggs available for the scavengers. In addition, totes will be provided to the first 500 participants.

All three sites are complimentary and accommodate every age group. Now the only thing left to do is choose which egg-stravaganza to enjoy. Happy Hunting!
