The house is large and spacious, well-kept, and we saw various upgrades from last year. We comfortably slept 3 adults and a toddler and the house was comfortable even without AC. The porch and views are to die for and its a super easy drive to both Rocky Mountain National Park and downtown Estes Park. Well be back again! Thank you Leanne Stayed Aug, 2024 Review This cabin worked great for our family of 5 adults and 1 infant. The location is super close to the park entrance, which we loved. We also appreciated the quiet neighborhood and all the wildlife! We sat out on the deck everyday! There is no AC, and it was hot during our stay. We made sure to open all the windows and use the fans at night, and closed everything up during the day. It wasnt too bad when we were diligent about closing everything up before it got too hot. They made sure we had a pack n play and high chair for our baby! The only thing I wished for was darker curtains in all of the bedrooms, and really only because the sun woke up the baby every morning nice and early We would definitely stay here again, and recommend the cabin to any families looking for a quiet and private stay! While this one didn't have a gift basket awaiting us, it does have a tremendous amount of space with three floors. Our teens were able to hang out in the walk-in basement/game area, while we grilled or cooked dinner on the middle floor. The kitchen is small, but the table is big enough for family game night. The master bed, and main floor bed, have the comfiest foam layer on the mattress!! The closets are HUGE and have plenty of hangars. The upstairs shower is tiny, but functional. When they say Grandma's Cabin, it truly means dated (not modern), but homey and comfortable. We enjoyed the view from many windows and the fantastic porch. The decor, dishes, kitchen supplies, furniture is all as if grandma moved out and this was listed as a rental the next day. So you know ahead of time the pictures are a accurate reflection of the house. Older furniture. Great location, very close to the park and town. Very quite area, with some wildlife that visitsA great deal of space for the size of the house with three levels to live in. It was nice to have a washer and dryer in the house.They did note they just give you a starter pack of supplies, so if you are staying for a week or so you will need to buy more toilet paper, paper towels, and bath supplies.The fridge was not working great and would not stay cold, we ended up having to throw away some food since it got too warm, contacted the service and the next day they reset the fridge and it was fineOverall, okay place if you are fine with older decor and supplies, great location and plenty of space. Each bedroom has plenty of space and there is a whole room downstairs with a futon for another person. We arrived to a nice, clean home, very spacious and with lovely views. It isn't in a crowded area so was nice and quiet with very nice neighbors. It is very close to town and the shuttle into the park with free parking. It truly is decorated like grandma lived there which is quite fun. Kitchen fully stocked with what you need and a great laundry room. We loved Grandma's house! We would say that it might be time for Grandma to replace the sofa and the dining room table as the sofa is so well loved that one sinks way down and the kitchen table and chairs seem to be on their last legs (and it would be nice if there were 6 chairs, instead of just 5). In these uncertain times though, it would have been more convenient to pay a deposit vs. having to pay for our entire stay up front. Luckily everything worked out for us to drive from Texas (weather was good, CO didnt shut down w/CV19 increases). The house setup is amazing and was setup just perfect for our family. Adults had one floor and the kids had the others. We had plenty of room to stretch out inside and outside too and with plenty of privacy. The house has all the conveniences of home and the area has everything you need without ever leaving Estes Park (from eating, shopping, hiking, outdoor adventures, snow and viewpoints). The porch is a great place to watch both the sunrise & sunset and check out the stars at night. It's a nicely updated house. There were plenty of dishes & towels and pots & pans for cooking. The SkyRun team were very prompt when we had any questions. I would definitely consider this house again when we visit in the future. We were in Estes in the Fall so the temperatures were in the 70's & we did not need air conditioning. The fans provided helped keep the upstairs rooms from getting stuffy. D Stayed Sep, 2020 Review We enjoyed our week stay at Grandma's Mountain Getaway! It was a family vacation with 6 adults and 1 baby. The house was perfect. Outside of town so it was quiet and peaceful, but close enough to run to town for dinner. We watched turkeys every morning, had elk a house away the day we arrived and mule deer came grazing into the yard one evening. This property had the most items that you would have in your home available. Pots, pans, utensils, dishes, Tupperware cabinet, cooler, ice packs, detergent, etc. This house has an amazing view of the mountains! Sunrise and sunset are gorgeous! It's also VERY close to Rocky Mountain National Park. We came home for lunch every day.Negatives: The downstairs bathroom needs a shade. The sun shines in on your head in the morning. It's hot and uncomfortable. The downstairs bed isn't very comfortable. The trashcan is hard to use.Overall it is a great place and I would stay there again! Weve stayed in many cabins for our annual family vacation over the last 23 years and this cabin is one of the very best. Beautiful, breathtaking views, yet still close in to Estes. The stay was so peaceful and the cabin had everything we needed to spread out, make great meals, and play games with our family. The surrounding area was lovely for easy family walks and the neighboring properties were friendly as we passed by. We all slept well in the large, clean, well appointed bedrooms. The only things we missed from other places weve stayed were a fire pit or hot tub. We love to sit outside on the cool fall evenings and stargaze and have enjoyed those amenities when weve had them and often seek out cabins just for them. We plan to visit Grandmas Hideaway again with only our kids because we loved so much about it. We loved the peace and quiet being outside of the city of Estes but just a quick 10 min drive to grocery store and park entrance. Enjoying the gorgeous sunsets from the porch and grilling on the back deck with friends was a perfect way to end a day after exploring RMNP. (Just be careful to check the grill- did not look like it had been cleaned in a long while, or perhaps the last guests were grilling up a storm.)As disclosed in the listing, some of the finishes are a little older and no AC so expect that- but we had just about everything we needed to cook, entertain and sleep 8. Checkin was a breeze with the door code instead of conventional keys. The place was pretty clean but not at a hotel level of turnover (found some water bottle caps on the floor and hair in the shower), so we were a little disappointed in the cleaning fee (especially as guests are asked to tidy up linens, dishes and trash). We filled the dish washer and added the detergent and reminded each other to start it just before we left. It wasn't until we were in Loveland that we realized that we hadn't started the dish washer. Sorry! The house was wonderful. And 2 young men showed up promptly to show us how the TV and internet worked.
