As others have mentioned, the furniture is a little too big for the space making it feel somewhat cramped, but the seating and beds were all comfortable. The location is quiet and peaceful, and its a short drive to downtown Estes Park and to RMNP. We saw several deer and a herd of about 30 elk was nearby on a few evenings. Lisa Stayed Aug, 2024 Great location for RMNP access We have done lots of AirBnBs and VRBOs in the US and elsewhere. The checkin and departure were easy and the location was great. Beds were comfortable and it had all the things you needed to be comfortable (starter tide pods for the laundry, towels for the pool, a good mix of dishes and glassware for the kitchen). My only suggestions would be to downsize the furniture to make the space feel bigger. It felt crowded by the oversized furniture in the living room and the bedrooms and the balcony also. We did have some frustration with parking due to the construction on the property and a ridiculously noisy family next door (fighting on their patio) but those are not things that could be controlled generally. The property had great views and the management was very responsive to messages. We love Estes Park and would consider staying here again all things considered. We had a really good experience in a great location, close to everything but still felt private with plenty of space. And the view from the balcony seals the deal! Perfect spot for visiting RMNP with friends. SkyRun was very communicative and professional. Had no issues checking in. They even left a voicemail for me saying I could contact them if I needed anything. The only reason for the 4 star rating is that I felt the listing couldve been clearer about the pool and hot tub being closed! It was hidden in the description that the pool was only open after Memorial Day weekend but we found the property with airbnbs filters for a place with a pool. So that was disappointing because we thought that was what wed be getting. My only other comment is that there couldve been better/more desirable bedding for the pull out bed. Sheets were so stiff and scratchy they felt like curtains and there was really weird blankets. Overall we loved it and recommend! Host's response: The pool is open/closed at the discretion of the HOA and we have no control over that part of the property but because there is a pool we do have it marked. Stayed Sep, 2022 A very nice property for stay in Rocky Mountain National Park We really enjoyed our stay at this property. It's a nice condo with above average leather furniture, hardwood floors, kitchen area, two bathrooms, two bedrooms and a big "fall out" couch. My wife and I and our three sons (all adult size) were very comfortable. Two of my boys bunked up in one of the queens (it may have been a king), and the other boy slept in the bed that falls out of the wall, which is a king size bed with a mattress on a spring. No uncomfortable bars like you get on a sofa pull out. The location is excellent, less than 10 minutes from downtown Estes Park and overlooking Mary's Lake. The views were awesome (as they are almost anywhere in the park). A few of the days we had elk and mule deer practically outside the front door. A short drive up route 7 and you are at Lilly Lake which is a beautiful spot and an easy hike around the lake with great views all around. There were a few negatives but very minor: one of the bathrooms is very small and has the smallest sink I've ever seen. Only thing you can really do with that sink is a quick rinse of the hands. There is another condo building being constructed so just be aware it impacts the views and vibe just slightly. There doesn't seem to be anywhere to dispose of recyclables. It's 2022, how can this be? But again these are minor things. We loved our stay - not a huge condo but a very nice one in great shape and perfect for what we needed in our 5 night stay. We arrived after dark and spent 2 hours looking for our unit. It is very difficult to find. Poor directions. We finally reached staff by phone. She told us very quickly how to fine the unit. Directions should be re-done. Overall we enjoyed the stay and location. There is a wall air conditioning unit in the living room. It can get a bit stuffy. They do supply several fans. Kendall Stayed Jun, 2022 Review This condo had some great things to offer - great location in regards to downtown Estes Park, close to RMNP. We loved that the space offered a full size washer and dryer. We also fully utilized the kitchen to cook. The equipment in the kitchen is a bit outdated. We just felt for the cost there was a lot of inaccuracy. The photos do not reflect what the space looks like. Furniture is different in the living room making it very tight. The bedrooms both have king beds which was a plus but again, additional furniture in rooms made the rooms tight. The pictures make the space look larger than it is but again, some pictures are accurate, several are not. The pool area needs serious maintenance but I know thats not up to the owners of this condo. Stayed Oct, 2021 Great place to stay in Estes Park We stayed in this condo in late October 2021. It was cozy and comfortable for our 2 exchange students and ourselves. It was warm and we had to open the front door and windows. There were adequate towels and washcloths. There was no hand soap and only 1 small bag of laundry soap for us to use. Plenty of dishwasher soap to do dishes 1 or 2 times a day. Lots of coffee pots and a kurig which we did not use so stored away while there. Pots and pans were adequate. Toaster oven, microwave and toaster too! Nothing in fridge to use so purchased out own ketchup we had to leave as our girls love ketchup on food. Beds comfy and as noted in description, the beds are high, especially in the room without access to the balcony. Comfortable in living room. A light above kitchen sink was out and didn't notice until last day. Plenty of blankets and extra bath towels. We like to stay in different places so probably would try another place to check out. The bathrooms are very small. There are a few quirky items with the place. The one bed is very high off the ground (about 3 feet). The floors are slanted in the bedrooms. You can hear noise from folks above you ( walking around, toilet/shower) though it wasn't very loud. Found a few items in house left from last person that was there but nothing major. There is also some minor construction behind the place though we did not have a noticeable impact from it. ( looks like they may be putting in a new pool there). The property was very difficult to locate (several units that are not numbered very clearly). We were provided a map prior to arrival but it wasn't very helpful. There was construction directly next to our unit that we were not aware of. This was frustrating because it interrupted the view but also took the walking path to the pool away and we had to traverse around. The pool was nice but the hot tub was covered/broken. Looking at past reviews it appears it's been this way for quite sometime; however, I understand that is the homeowner association issue not the housing unit owner. The murphy bed was very comfortable as well as the queen and king bed. The master and guest bedroom is flip-flopped but not a big deal. To access the deck you go through the guest bedroom (odd). The deck furniture was very comfortable. A nice area. The AC is a joke. There is one unit in the living area (directly by the murphy bed). It doesn't cool the back bedrooms and is even worse if you close the bedroom doors for privacy. There is no airflow. It was very difficult for us to keep the unit a comfortable temperature (note: we do like it a little cooler than probably most). Yes the area cools off at night but it was 1-2 am before the temp in the unit would drop to comfortable. The ceiling fan in the master bedroom is broken. I reported it. The response was ok we will let maintenance know. Found out later that this has been broken for some time and I don't believe there is intent to fix it. Just tell your guests that. Then we aren't looking for the correct switch, pulling the cord on the fan itself etc. Just tell us---put it in your book of info or the email you send out (or fix it). The fan that was placed in the bedroom in lieu of ceiling fan sounded like a tornadoThe first morning I went to make breakfast and didn't have a pancake flipper or rubber spatula. There were only large nylon serving spoons. Later that morning I read reviews on the unit and someone else had noticed there wasn't adequate cooking utensils. The response was something like...I wish you would've let us know during your stay. We would've delivered some right away. Ok I thought...perfect...they will deliver these basic items. So I called customer service (they were nice but confused by my request). The utensils were delivered 48 hours later when we had one morning left.Checkers pieces to the table are missing.It's a nice place just not for us. Condo is nice and clean-A little 'over-furnished-Not sure how one would get to the Murphy Bed if it was needed with the Chess Table in front of it. The beds were very comfy-One is super tall-it would would be difficult for a short person to get up there without a stool ! It was in a great location and the balcony provided a beautiful view of the mountains and Marys Lake. It was so conveniently close to the Rocky Mountain National Park entrance at Beaver Meadows. We were pleasantly surprised to find a King bed in both bedrooms, instead of a King/Queen. Our kids slept on the Queen Murphy bed in the living room, which was super comfortable. Very peaceful area. Not too far from Rocky Mountain National Park. Loved our stay! A rental experience was excellent! The communication with Julie was quick and easy, and we were even able to access the unit a little early, which we really appreciated. The unit itself is very clean, and was as advertised. Two slight challenges we had were: 1. we had a difficult time managing the temperature. In the end we turned off all the thermostats and open the windows, because otherwise it was too warm.2. The garbage disposal smelled badly, and unfortunately was the first thing we noticed when we walked in the door. We ended up avoiding you to use and just kept the rubber stopper on it for the length of our stay.Aside from those two hiccups, I cant say enough about this place for our trip to Estes Park! Stayed Oct, 2020 Great Place to Stay for Estes Park Area Excursions This two-bedroom condo met our every need during our visit to Estes Park, the Rocky Mountain National Park, Thompson Canyon and the surrounding areas. Access into the condo was very convenient and it was clean upon arrival. There was plenty of dresser and closet space for all our needs. Some of our groceries fit in the cabinets, and some had to set on the countertops or on a box on top of the refrigerator, but this was not an issue for us. We went out on excursions each day, so the living areas were roomy enough to hang out in the evenings. We fixed a couple of meals in the evenings, and although the kitchen supplies are limited, we managed to make do. I would bring containers for leftovers, if desired, as there was only one supplied. The bedrooms were quiet and we could not hear our friends talking in the other bedroom at night or while getting ready in the morning. The separate bathrooms was a must, and though the sink was small in one bathroom, it worked very sufficiently for our stay. The blinds on the bedroom exterior door to the deck do need to be replaced, as several are broken, and creates a privacy issue. We did have to cover it. There were TVs in both bedrooms and in the living area with cable, but to our knowledge there was no ability to log into services like Netflix or Hulu, etc. This unit advertises for up to six people. It would be fairly cramped with six, but could certainly be done if you were planning to be away from the condo for most of the day and just land back at night to sleep. Some negatives...Place appeared much larger in the online pictures than it actually was. Kitchen lacked some basic supplies such as hot pads, pot covers, etc. It felt like a sterile hotel and not very cozy or lived in; lacking a personal touch. A lot of the "little things" were disappointing and actually made our experience much worse, such as very lumpy pillows, only 1 out of 4 light bulbs in the ceiling light, bathroom door that didn't latch well, broken blinds, being able to hear everything the neighbors were doing, parking not as described. The hot tub is under repair but will be awesome once its back up and running. They currently are doing construction adjacent to the building so we had to park in the lot below the condo. Having two separate bedroom suites with doors to close off each hallway to the suites was really nice. We all loved the privacy we felt with this feature. We were able to take advantage of the community hot tub, as well as the jet tub in the condo. There area that the condo is in is so close to the RMNP and downtown Estes Park but feels like youre out in the country. Its a beautiful area. We would defiantly recommend this condo.
