This place is located in a peaceful location, nice views and its very spacious. Lots of beds and the way the rooms are located are very good. 2 upstairs and 2 downstairs. This place is perfect for a big group of people! We enjoyed our stay here but I feel it needs a bit more maintenance and organization. The kitchen had pretty much everything but it wasnt organized. I had to keep looking for things everywhere. Also, the sinks in the bathrooms were a bit clogged and some things were dusty. Overall, we had a good stay. Heavenly Pines was vacation enough for us since it was so comfortable and relaxing. We enjoyed watching deer and hummingbirds from the deck as well as bunnies and chipmunks. Although it rained most of the day Sunday we had plenty of games to entertain all. The shooting star was an added bonus. Watching the star fill sky from the hot tub put our stay over the top. We had 8 adults & 2 children stay at this property and there was plenty of room for us in this big cozy home. It is located away from the city so its quiet and we got to see deer walk through the yard a couple of times. The cleaning crew missed a couple things but it was pretty clean for the most part. Fireplace is still not working. Has a very nice washer and dryer to do laundry during your stay. Fully stocked kitchen, we were missing a can opener and we called and they brought us one within about an hour, which was great. A couple of the mattresses sag, one of the double beds and king bed on one side, but they are decently comfortable and we got good sleep during our stay. Theres a closet upstairs with games & toys. Plenty of towels for a family of 6, and enough for the hot tub. Kitchen was very well stocked with a lot in the pantry. The hot tub needed more chlorine, and got dirty by day 4, and caused 3 of my kids to have a rash hence my 4-star review. If that hadn't happened it would have been 5. We would stay again!There is a small closet in the hallway with games. Sadly, we didn't notice that until the last day. Host's response: Thank you for your review. Kitchen items to foosball table! A cozy cabin tucked away in the trees, but plenty of room to breathe! It was more than a house it was a feeling of being home. From the sunrise over the mountain to the wind whispering through the pines, songbirds dancing in the trees, hummingbirds at the fresh clean feeder, gorgeous mountain views from the deck, and a sparkling clean hot tub to enjoy at the end of the day! The property was clean and comfortable, and we enjoyed being able to play foosball and get into the hot tub. We didn't realize that the couch downstairs was actually a pullout, which helped with our sleeping configuration. (We didn't catch that 4 of the sleeping spots in the listing were in double beds..not fun for adults to share. But that's on us for not catching it!) On Friday, the Cameron Peak fire was still growing and coming closer to Estes. Our friends were coming up to join us on Friday and going to stay at the Stanley Hotel. The Stanley called them and cancelled their reservation because they were anticipating an early morning evacuation. Since air quality was already getting bad and we had 3 people with asthma and lung cancer survivor, we made the decision to leave early. We had purchased the travel insurance and when I called the property manager all she said was, you can leave if you want but we're not giving you your money back for the last day. Disappointed is the best way to describe it. I even emailed them and gave them the opportunity to make it right and nothing.
