Crocker made Estes Park his summer home until his death in 1932. The Crocker Ranch has a number of historical associations connected to the ranch. In 1875 Alexander MacGregor's original toll road entered the Estes Valley through the Ranch. Its traces are still visible on the ranch property. The Crocker Ranch remains today in private hands with a number of its historical buildings intact and well preserved, including the Coach House. This amazing historical home provides ultimate privacy, located on one of the most breathtaking areas in the Estes valley. This amazing log home is going to make you want to come back time after time. The main level has the very large living area with a gorgeous wood burning fireplace with stonework around it. The kitchen is large and stocked with everything for your gourmet meal and a dining table to accommodate your family. A wood burning stone fireplace is the central feature of this dining area. Tall and spacious windows let all the light in and let you enjoy the mountain views. Located on the main level is a queen size bedroom with a bathroom, the second bedroom on the main level has two twin beds. Located on the second level are two King bedrooms, each with a full size private bathroom.Crocker Ranch is a working ranch - there are animals on-site. The ranch is calling you. Management provides a starter kit of amenities to get you through your first day, including: an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwashing pods, liquid dishwashing soap, and a single brew coffee pack. Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit. Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups. Safety checks are at no additional charge. I was a little disappointed with the care of the house: The kitchen was lacking serving bowls and storage containers, but the basics were available, many light bulbs were burned out, screens were broken on doors and unusable and the over all cleanliness was lacking a bit, however, none of these things overshadowed the peace and tranquility of our stay. As far as rental management goes, this place is ran so incredibly well. Easy to get ahold of them, simple check in instructions, very friendly and highly accommodating. I happened to be able to meet the owner of the ranch and he was very friendly and welcoming! I mean, this place is beyond beautiful. Private. Clean. Spacious. And pet friendly which was a huge plus. Not a lot of places to walk to as you are limited to where you can go on the ranch and a few dust bunnies under the beds but hey, I would go back if the opportunity arises.
