The surrounding area was beautiful and quiet. The kids enjoyed the hot tub on the deck. No grill, but there was enough kitchen supplies to cook on stove. Condo was only 8 minutes to Estes Park where we did several hikes and horseback riding. Also, the management company was very responsive when we couldn’t figure out the door code. Joe Kissee Stayed Jun, 2023 Great Experience! We had a great experience at Mount Chiquita 10A. The condo was very clean upon arrival. We had everything we needed to get settled in. All of the appliances functioned as expected, and the master shower is very nice! The views off of the deck are incredible and even better than what we expected from the pictures. The private hot tub is even a little more private since this is an end unit and you're not surrounded by neighbors on all sides. Getting into the unit at check-in was a breeze with the provided access code. The condo was in a great location just outside of Estes Park. Easy access to RMNP, the scenic byway, and downtown Estes Park. The kids enjoyed going down to Mary's Lake to throw and climb rocks. Our only feedback: There was no handsoap (bar or pump) at any of the sinks at check-in, so we picked some up from Safeway. We arrived the day before Memorial and the website had said the heated pool would be open from Memorial to Labor Day. We called ahead of time to see if it would be open on Memorial Day for sure, and were told pending any crazy weather it would be. When we arrived the pool wasn't open and we were told June 1 it would be open. June 1 came and all that happened was they began to clean it out to get it ready. We felt they could have started the process sooner as we had beautiful weather while we were in town. Better communication would have helped as well. Overall our experience was great and we would absolutely stay here again! Host's response: We are happy to hear you had a great experience. The original access code provided for the condo did not work but the property managers responded quickly with the correct code. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub overlooking the views. The master bedroom also had amazing views as did windows in the dining area and kitchen. You wont be disappointed. Felt like we were right in the Rocky Mountains . Close and convenient to town and the Rocky Mountain National Park. Just a note- cleaning fee is high and while that was worth it to us, we were turned off by the tip envelope like in a hotel on top of the very high cleaning fee. The 180 view through the windows and back deck jacuzzi were amazing & beautiful all day long! The layout of our 2 King BR/2BA condo, with full kitchen, and gas fireplace fit our group quite comfortably. The area was nice to walk around. It was great being only a short drive to Estes Park town square which had a lovely Riverwalk, and a variety of yummy restaurants, and unique shops. There was also nice public restrooms with free parking so you could walk everywhere safely in the daytime and nighttime. We really enjoyed hiking in the sunny, snowy, Winter Wonderland of Estes Park, Rocky Mountain National Park, and riding on the Mustang Mountain Coaster. The view off of the patio couldn’t be any more beautiful… mountains, Mary’s Lake, elk, deer, snow. It snowed around six inches overnight. The SkyRun crew cleaned off our walkway and our car windshields of snow. Hot tub was great! The only thing I might change was the size of the televisions… smallest TVs I’ve ever seen, but they all worked. Great experience! We will come to this unit again! Gal on the phone helped us resolve pretty quickly but still a bit annoying. Kitchen well stocked, knifes really need to be sharpened as they are VERY dull. Didn't use hot tub but it was clean and warm. Quieter then expected which is a plus. 10am checkout (vs) early and would be nice to have an extra hour. We would come back .... We stayed in Mount Chiquita 10A for 4 nights and had a wonderful time! It's charming, cozy, and we loved the decor. The kitchen was great for making coffee and breakfast in the morning. We loved that the dining table was counter height, which was perfect for our daughter's wheelchair, so she could sit at the table too. While this unit is not ADA-accessible, we were able to lift our daughter in her wheelchair up the 2 small steps to roll into the unit. It worked great for our needs. The hot tub was wonderful and the view of the stars at night was perfect. We especially loved the charming decor, it made you feel like you were staying in a cabin. The fireplace was great for warming up by after a day outside exploring in the chilly weather. Overall, we just loved this rental and would love to visit and stay here again. Jenny Stayed Nov, 2020 Review The condo was incredibly clean, well decorated with lots of towels for the bathrooms and the hot tub. There was some complimentary coffee as well as some cards, dice, dominos and puzzles if that's of interest to you. The space was very cozy and inviting. The views were fantastic... we had coffee and watched the sun rise over the mountains from the hot tub. In November it was cold so plan accordingly and if renting a car, I'd suggest AWD, the roads around the lake and the condo area were slick with inclines (to be expected in the mountains). There's a small grocery store just about 2 miles away and less than 10 minutes from either downtown Estes Park or an entrance to RMNP. It was a great location. And I can't say enough for the incredible communication from the management team...we were plauged by 3 flight cancelations and changes due to the airlines as well as the recent wildfires and they were great to work with throughout. We needed a get away for the weekend and this condo was just what we had in mind! This was the perfect spot for 2 couples. And would have been comfortable with 3 (although wouldn’t have been enough seating for 6 in the living room or on the patio) Pros: -Hot tub was perfect -Balcony faces East- beautiful sunrises -2 King beds have very comfortable mattresses -large table for games and dinner (not crowded) -fully equipped kitchen (see cons) -close parking -spices and cooking spray/olive oil Cons: -ALL the knives are VERY dull (had to cut a pepper with a bread knife) -the toilet paper is ROUGH! (Bring your own) -1 set of sheets was soft, the other was not at all -needed more seating in the living room (even for 4 adults) -exterior light shines right through blinds into master bedroom. Would highly recommend that owners put up curtains to help with this. -no foil, plastic wrap, or ziplocks for left overs We will probably re-book this condo in the future but will be bringing our own TP and possibly our own sheets. Sucked that the hot tub lights didn’t work since at night it’s nice to have a little bit of light without having the bright porch lights on. The beds were super comfy and the kitchen was awesome. Stayed Aug, 2020 Beautiful Mountain View The location of the condo was close to downtown Estes Park and close to a couple different entrances to Rocky Mountain National Park. The condo was clean and very well maintained. We didnt cook very much, but it had all of the necessary items if we would have wanted to. It wasnt big, but was very nice. We saw mule deer and elk several times in the complex. We enjoyed our stay and would like to come back again! Jennifer A. Stayed Jul, 2020 Great place to stay We stayed here on our trip to Rocky Mountain National Park. The condo was clean and well equipped especially the kitchen which was nice. The location was great for accessing the park and close enough to come home mid day between hikes for a rest if the kids needed it. We especially liked the hot tub for soaking after a long day of hiking. The only minor negatives I have are the dryer took multiple cycles to dry and the light from street lamp outside shone through the blinds in the master bedroom. That being said I would stay again. Few small issues to be addressed to make it five stars. Only nine hangars total for three closets; one soap dish for three bathroom sinks; three small bars of soap for three sinks and tub and separate shower; need a plug that fits indoor whirlpool tub. I did contact management about this but not resolved before we left. Most owners leave extras like tin foil and paper napkins and laundry detergent as a nice gesture. This one left no extras. Could use salt or something for walkway when slippery. Need snow shovel as walkway not shoveled till 4 pm and 8 in of snow fell over night. Need directions on how to get various TVs working. Confusing as to how to change channels with different remotes and how to access cable tv. Overall a nice property. Host's response: We're glad to hear it was nice and clean for you folks.
