We had a bucket-list item to hear the elk bugling in Estes Park, and everything I read said to book this place. Well, we did hear the elk in Estes Park AND they came to the field right next to the backdoor at dawn! Other than that magic, it's the perfect place for two separate living spaces. A beautiful condo with an amazing view! We were lucky enough to be able to sit on the balcony and watch the Northern Lights while we were there. An unobstructed view! Love this place. Clean and roomy (especially the master bedroom). The hot tub was right outside the master bedroom doors on the patio. Loved having a washer and dryer as well. I will stay here again and again! The house is a good sized place with two bedrooms. We had an issue with the living room sofa bed which the maintenance came over to repair, but could not be fully fixed. Stayed Jul, 2021 Lovely Condo with Beautiful Views We enjoyed five nights here. Cooking in the kitchen which had everything we needed was a breeze and steaks on the grill hit the spot one night. The fireplaces that are lit by flipping a switch were great for taking the chill off. Beds were comfortable. The location is out on the fringes of Estes Park but everything in town is about ten minutes away. It is quiet and beautiful and away from the fray of downtown. When we called the office with a problem they responded very quickly and they were patient and friendly. One thing to note is that the master suite is downstairs. And the thermostat doesnt work, just shows the temp. Temperature is controlled by the thermostat upstairs. All in all we loved staying here. Host's response: Thank you for the great feedback, Lee! The views were incredible!!! So peaceful and quiet....we even saw wolves! My husband and I loved the lower level master bedroom, it felt like a honeymoon suite. House was just perfect for our stay. My wife and I came here in April 2021 for three nights to celebrate our anniversary. Everything was spotlessly clean, the kitchen was perfectly outfitted with everything we needed, the hot tub was amazing and the views were stunning. Check-in and check-out was super smooth with no complications. SkyRun staff was super helpful when I called with questions and we felt like valued customers. The master bedroom suite is simply epic with its rustic log king-sized bed, gas fireplace, whirlpool and walk-in shower. The location, a 5-minute walk from the shores of Mary's Lake, couldn't have been more beautiful. We enjoyed stargazing from the balcony off the living room and soaking in the hot tub on the master suite patio. It seemed like we had the place pretty much to ourselves with no guests occupying adjacent cabins (this was in April, so not peak season). The neighborhood was clean, quiet and peaceful. The decor and design inside the home was absolutely perfectclean, stylish, uncluttered, and slightly rustic feeling.The only difficulty we had was trying to use the whirlpool/jacuzzi tub in the master suite. The hot water heater was set all the way on high but still didn't have enough hot water to fill the tub. It was lukewarm at best by the time it was full. Not necessarily SkyRun's fault, but a bit of a disappointment. However, we discovered a solution by the end of our stay! It takes about 40-43 minutes for the hot water heater to re-heat to full temperature. So if you plan ahead and fill the tub about 40% full with the hottest water possible, then close the bathroom door and wait about 45 minutes, you have enough hot water to continue filling it all the way full before the first batch of water has cooled down too much. We highly recommend this place for either a single couple celebrating a special weekend together, or for two couples coming to Estes together (there are two nice bedrooms and two nice bathrooms) Host's response: Thank you so much, Andrew! We enjoyed our snowy stay in this condo very much. Location was perfect for daily trips to RMNP and easy access to the shops in town. Master bed was sooo comfortable. Loved the fireplaces upstairs and downstairs. Loved the ability to prepare all of our meals daily in the kitchen and stay on top of laundry. The one suggestion I would make to take this condo to the next level of luxury would be to take a good hard look at the 1st floor furniture, decor and kitchen amenities and do some updating with an eye towards what would make a traveler's trip more appealing. The living room sofa has a weird slant, which makes it almost impossible to sit on. The small space of the living room could be more comfortably maximized with furniture and decor that is less bulky. I would also suggest adding additional blankets for guests to cuddle up with, particularly in the cold weather months. We did make a call to address a running toilet and were greeted with extremely friendly and fast response. Overall - this is a great property in a great location and a great price. Stayed Sep, 2020 Mount Enentah This was our second stay in this unit, and it was just as good as the first. Love this unit, we really enjoy the downstairs master bedroom space. So convenient that it has a washer and dryer, don’t have to go home with a ton of dirty clothes. The view is awesome from the upstairs balcony. Stayed Jul, 2020 Great location with great views The pictures of the views do not do it justice. We saw elk and mule deer everyday we were there. The rental is conveniently located near Estes park and Rocky mountain national park. The rental was clean and well furnished, my only complaint is that there wasnt a decent frying pan out of the 4 pans that were there all four stuck so bad it was difficult to just make a grilled cheese sandwich. Also there werent many bbq utensils and no large knives for cutting meat. Also the pool was drained while we were there not sure if this was covid related but it wasnt a huge deal since we had a hot tub. It was the perfect romantic getaway for my husband and I and our first time to Estes Park. It was still close to everything and the location was perfect for the big windows that showcased the gorgeous view of the mountains. The hot tub was such a relaxing addition as well! The decor is so cozy and we especially loved the fireplaces upstairs and downstairs. They had plenty of towels and even toiletries if you forgot yours at home! This place really is gorgeous and I definitely plan on staying again in the future! The ONLY small con was that the middle window blinds were broken and you couldnt lift them up to see the whole view from the balcony. It wasnt a huge deal though since we could still turn the blinds open, but it would have been even more breathtaking without the blinds in the way. We have a toddler and were happy to have so much room for him to explore. The views from the balcony were incredible and we saw a family of elk every morning while sipping our coffee and eating breakfast outside. David Stayed Jul, 2019 Review Condo was a perfect home for our family summer trip. Loved the jacuzzi and separate bedrooms. Mark Stayed Jul, 2019 Review This was a great condo for our family vacation and it was tucked away just far enough from town to feel secluded yet close to everything in Estes Park. Amenities were complete in the kitchen and we cooked many of our meals in. The view from the deck took our breath away. We had no issues and would definitely stay here again. Very close to downtown Estes for shopping&food. The mountain view from the deck was great, and the hot tub was nice after a long day of hiking in the Rockies. We would recommend this unit to others. Stayed Jun, 2019 Great view Loved the condo!! The views were beautiful. We could see the RMNP mountains from the living room windows. Everything was super clean, the hot tub was perfect and so peaceful. I liked that the condos werent right in the middle of town and you had some privacy, but close enough to everything when you needed it. We even got to see several deer grazing in the morning. I was seeking a nice retreat in the Colorado Mountains, and I found it with this condo! The condo itself was great, with high, lofted ceilings in the main room. The bottom floor was the master bedroom, with a huge bed and a ton of space. The bathroom was also very large, with a shower and jetted tub. The jacuzzi was a great touch and was perfect to relax in at night. It's right outside the door to the bedroom, so it was only a few steps to get in out of the cold once I was done. The location itself was great, it overlooks a really beautiful part of the area. As I was leaving, there was a herd of elk just a few blocks from the condos. It's a nice escape into the "wilderness" while still maintaining a luxury feel. I will definitely stay here again! Host's response: Thank you so much for your awesome review. Stayed Feb, 2019 Beautiful condo with amazing views My husband and I spent a long weekend here, it was clean and private! The views from the living area/kitchen and downstairs bedroom were breathtaking! We used the hot tub one night and it was perfect! The other two nights were too windy! It was easy to find this condo and just a few minutes from town! The entrance to the RMNP was so close too! Only one concern was that the door to the upstairs deck did not lock easily and took a lot of trying to get it to lock- this is an upper level deck so not a big deal!
