We enjoyed it very much and would stay here again! We saw elk multiple times when driving in and out of the neighborhood which was really nice. The only downside it is the Google maps doesn't have the place listed as 'Mary Condominiums' so we had trouble putting an actual address to go to. Host's response: Thank you for your review. Morgan Stayed May, 2024 Review We enjoyed our stay at Marys Condominiums. It was hard to find the place at first. The numbers werent listed very well and it seemed backwards but we eventually found it! The kitchen was well stocked. The hot tub was great as well! I loved the pillows! The bathroom in bedroom can be a little cramped because the doorOpens right up to the toilet. We had an issue with the internet and tv not working due to weather at first but it was fixed quickly and SkyRun communicated effectively with us about it. If you are looking for privacy I wouldnt say this place has it. We had to enjoy our hot tub right by some females who were engaging in cannabis activity which isnt really what we are in to. Location was far enough away from the hustle and bustle of the main touristy areas, but only a few minutes to get there when needed. Only issue is checking in at night; the properties are not marked well, nor are there many lights. Took us about an hour to find our unit in the pitch black, and even the person on-call that night didnt know where it was. Google maps got lost too. Otherwise, everything was great! But, you are right, it is not well lit. Estes Park is a dark sky community, allowing visitors to view the stars, so there are no street lights at these condos. I reviewed some of the comments before purchasing and we would like to say first of all, the condo has almost everything you need, especially in the kitchen! They even had a crock pot! The ONLY con to the kitchen was there was no oven, but it's something people can live without. seriously. lol and there was another comment about a heater. Unless there's a freezing blizzard or you're bodys used to a hot state this condo will keep you warm! They have 2 fireplaces that WILL keep you warm. All you need to do is turn on the switch!!! As mentioned, this is a quiet neighbohood and it really is. This condo is perfect for 2-4 people. It's a little big for 2, but is great for parents with 1 or 2 children. They can sleep on the couch next to the fire place and wake up to a pretty view and breakfast in the morning. 3 people would be PERFECT for this condo. The hot tub was warm and relaxing, especially when it's snowing outside. The view is spectacular and it's about 10 min away from Main St. The people that live in this community are sweet, but will leave you alone. I really do recommend if you want to get away from the city and have you're own space. ESPECIALLY, during the winter/early spring, because it's more private that way. The hot tub was wonderful after a long day of hiking and we often watched the mule deer grazing right on the property. Many afternoons when we arrived home, a doe would be resting peacefully right under the deck by our stairs up to our door. She was gentle and curious and so lovely! The property is very conveniently located close to shops, restaurants, grocery, gas and laundry but up on a hill so that it feels removed from congestion. The couple of minor improvements I would suggest are 1) a new mattress in the bedroom (grooves from use make it tough to sleep without rolling), 2) screens in both sides of each window instead of just one, 3) a better explanation and picture of the master bath jetted tub. The picture on VRBO makes it look quite large but in reality in might be even smaller than a standard tub. Otherwise, we loved the place! A friend who vacations in CO 6-10 times a year visited us one day and kept saying, "How did you find this?" and, "I need to remember this the next time I come!" She was staying in a hotel in town and paying MUCH more per night. We stay in lots of VRBOs and this one did not disappoint! Loved having a fireplace in the bedroom in addition to the front room. Two full bathrooms was another plus, even though I was the only person staying. Only constructive criticism - air registers and top of some picture frames had a good coating of dust (which stood out because the rest of the place was spotless). Regarding the actual VRBO process, I extended my stay and they changed the door code without informing me. I stood outside monkeying with things in near-zero degree weather until a maintenance guy came by and gave me the new code. It took nearly an hour for VRBO to reply to me after I told them I could not get back in to the unit.Again though, great unit and glad the owners make it available via VRBO. Keep your brights on at night. There's a small elk herd in the area and roads in/out of the area are not well lit. Host's response: Thank you, Eric. Only thing to note is that while they have kitchen pots and pans and everything, you'll need to buy your own foil, plastic bags etc, just something to be prepared for. We didnt want to make another trip to Safeway so made due. Otherwise I loved the location as it was far enough but close enough to the main town areas. The hot tub was awesome too! Family Vaca We had great weather. 77-82 degrees. We went horseback riding, did Gem Lake Trail, went to the Stanley Hotel, rode the Tram, enjoyed Estes Park Lake, and enjoyed the Rocky Mountains.. The kitchen and house is generally well stocked with everything you need. Three of us stayed here and I wouldn’t recommend any more. The place was immaculately clean and well maintained. The hot tub was clean and much needed after long hikes. My only feedback is to provide more pillows. There are only 4 in the condo. Everyone in my family uses more than one.
