Welcome to Solitude Cabins Marmot #1, a serene vacation rental nestled in the heart of Colorado's Rocky Mountains in Estes Park. Situated on a vast nine-acre property adorned with trees, this cabinesque condo offers a truly tranquil and private retreat for nature enthusiasts and relaxation seekers. Guests can easily explore the beauty of the area, indulge in various outdoor activities, or simply bask in the serenity of the condo and surroundings. A quick walk to walking trails and Lake Estes, and a four minute drive to the free parking garage in downtown Estes Park, you won’t find a better location.
As you step inside the condo, the main floor has a King bedroom, bathroom, and an open concept living and kitchen area. The living area features a gas fireplace, perfect for cozy evenings spent snuggled up with a book or enjoying the company of loved ones. There is also a Queen sleep sofa available for guests that want extra space. The kitchen is ready with everything needed to make great meals for family or guests. Just add the groceries. The main floor bedroom has a King bed and access to the main floor bathroom, with a shower. There is also access to a washer and dryer for your laundry needs. The deck offers a charming outdoor space where you can savor your morning coffee while immersing yourself in the breathtaking mountain views.
Upstairs you will enjoy the second bedroom with a King bed. This bedroom has a private ensuite bathroom with a shower.
Indulge in relaxation with a soak in the shared community hot tub, surrounded by the natural beauty of the Rockies. And for special occasions, Solitude Cabins offers a spacious gathering place accommodating up to 40 guests, ideal for hosting family reunions, corporate retreats, or memorable events amidst the serene backdrop of the Rocky Mountains. Don't forget to check availability and make Gathering Room rental arrangements in advance to ensure a truly unforgettable experience at Solitude Cabins.

Management provides a starter kit of amenities to get you through your first day, including: an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwashing pods, liquid dishwashing soap, and a single brew coffee pack or 4 K-cups depending on the property. Guests will need to provide or purchase additional toiletries and products as needed beyond this starter kit.
Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks or mid-stay cleans, additional trash pickups and hot tub services. Safety checks are at no additional charge. Mid-stay cleanings include linens change, floors, bathrooms and light surface cleaning. Mid-stay services are charged to the guest, and charges can only be added after your reservation is made. Management will call the guest directly for payment for the required services. Call our office for details.

The Good Stuff

We have stayed many times in Solitude Cabins but this was one of our favorites. The Marmot 1 was exceptionally comfortable. It was slightly more expensive than other available cabins but the interior decorating and the close proximity to the parking lot made it an easy choice. We will return to Solitude and we will choose the Marmot 1 again. PS, if you hear bears outside scouring for food, don’t expect them to act like zoo animals. Stay away.

Great Advise on the Bears - they are not to be messed with - Either are the Elk - Male or Female - both can be very dangerous. We are happy you enjoyed one of our Solitude Cabins - in Estes Park Colorado the gate way to Rocky Mountain National Park.

Fantastic

Fantastic accommodations as it feels so homey and comfortable. The cabin is furnished so well and decorated with the local Estes/mountain feel. Absolute stunning view of Longs Peak. Quiet peaceful location with wild life present every day. A great place!

We enjoyed our stay, lovely cabin and most important comfortable beds and furniture. Deer and elk in our yard, lively deck to sit and watch or just relax. Kitchen well equipped, might bring your own paring knife and any knife you might need for food prep, but plenty of dishes and silverware. Edge of town but so convenient to everything and could avoid traffic congestion. Thank you for sharing your home.

Super clean house and quiet area

This was a great place to stay with family. It was very clean, beds were very comfortable and the deck and grill were nice to have! The property management company was very helpful for gaining access when we got there. We walked to lake Estes and probably could have walked downtown also if we remembered our stroller. Very pleasant experience we would definitely stay here again.
