Cabin was comfortable and heated well - perfect for the snow storm which hit during our stay. Fully stocked with extra towels for the hot tub and had all the needed kitchen items. The property was clean and had everything we needed for a nice home base for all the area and National Park attractions. The location to the Beaver Meadows Park entrance was just minutes away. The property faces southeast and we watched beautiful sunrises in the morning. The sunsets lighting the clouds and mountains were also beautiful. There was a full moon while we were there. We were treated to the full moon rising right from the porch. The condo had all the important stuff, like a comfortable bed, good shower pressure and working appliances. The hot tub was a welcome treat after returning from our hiking adventures. I would recommend The Twin Owls without hesitation. It was a great vacation. Thanks for the hospitality Skyrun! The views from the living room and deck kept us preoccupied for hours and you can see the sun rise over the Rockies if you wake up early enough. We were close to hiking, downtown Estes Park, and had no trouble getting around. It snowed while we were here and we saw some other guests struggling in the parking lot because it doesnt get plowed until 4 inches accumulates. We had a little trouble finding the unit as everything is numbered oddly. One couple checking in down the way from us couldnt find their unit for close to an hour and no one was answering the phone for them, so keep in mind it can be confusing and you wont have immediate help if youre lost.The unit itself was very comfortable but the dishes werent super clean (specifically the pots and pans). We washed everything we needed to use before using it. Plenty of towels in the unit. The hot tub was great! Overall, we would stay again. Host's response: We are glad you enjoyed your stay and the beautiful view. Watching the sun light up the mountains in the morning is my favorite time of day! The HOA is responsible for plowing the parking lot. A little bit of snow can cause some slippery conditions so 4WD is best in the winter. You are right, the units are numbered oddly. A map of the condo area is sent out with the arrival instructions that come directly from SkyRun Rocky Mountain. Unfortunately, Airbnb does not have a way to attach a map to their instructions although a map is one of the pictures in the listing. We answer the phones 24/7 to assist our guests. We are not the only management company in that condo area, not all companies have after hours support. Each unit has a number by the door but, Estes Park is a dark sky community so lighting is at a minimum, it is recommended that guests bring a flashlight. We would love to host you again. Jacob Stayed Jan, 2024 Review We received great service by SkyRun when an unexpected maintenance issue occurred in our unit on New Years Eve. We were moved to a new unit that night which was less secluded/closer to the road and parking than we wanted. And be sure to arrive while the sun is up - it was difficult to find the unit in the dark. The unit itself was clean and the kitchen had more utensils for cooking than most AirBnBs weve stayed in. We were disappointed that the new unit was closer to the road and less secluded than the unit we booked. We loved the fireplace and the beds and furniture were comfortable. The TVs were dated (not smart TVs) so we couldnt connect our technology to stream what we wanted. Overall it was a good experience, quiet and peaceful. We loved soaking in the hot tub at night after hiking all day. We had a wonderful time and would stay here again!Just a note: We arrived at night, and the condo was very hard to locate in the dark. Our car nav and G-maps did not take us to the unit, just to the area. The directions we received from SkyRun were very general and said to refer to the map to locate a specific unit. The map was not very helpful since it was difficult to read on the phone and the streets were difficult to make out. The unit numbers are not visible from the street at night. We must not have been the only guests that struggled with this because someone mistook our condo for theirs one night during our stay. Stayed May, 2023 Clean and Comfortable My husband and I stayed here May 6-8 with our two kids (2 and 5). We received the wrong key pad code upon arrival, but I called and was immediately given a new one that gave us entrance. Just a few minutes of inconvenience and really not a big deal at all. The first thing we both noticed when entering was how immaculate the home was! Rosa and Francisco do a fantastic job of cleaning; the appliances were spotless, beds well made, and bathrooms very clean. The kitchen has many appliances such as a blender, toaster, and coffee potnone of which we used, but they would definitely be nice for a longer stay. We loved the hot tub on the porch in the evening. The view from the porch is gorgeous. The drive to the main strip of restaurants is very close; we made that trip frequently. Three things to note: The listing said there was a grill, but we didnt find one. (Maybe there was a community grill somewhere that we missed?) Also, the kitchen did not have any food storage/Tupperware, so we had to get creative with storing leftovers. Buy your own Gladware or plastic bags in town. Last, the beds are very tall, and because of that, the nightstands are very tall. They are also narrow, making them a bit unsteady. Our two-year-old reached for a handle to pull up onto the bed, and the nightstand and drawers tipped over on her. My husband was there, thankfully, and she avoided serious injuryjust something to be aware of if you are also traveling with little ones. Overall, we had a fantastic stay and would return! Nice, big king beds in both rooms with plenty of space for storing clothes. The bathrooms were clean and well stocked. Kitchen was very well stocked with cookware and utensils. The gas fireplace in the living room really puts out a lot of heat to keep warm. Extremely beautiful views, much better than youd get closer into town. Everything we did was pretty much within 10 minutes. It snowed overnight and they were out clearing our personal walkway along with shared walkways and parking lots. Clear and easy check-in/out instructions. I had no complaints at all. It was exactly what my family of four needed for our Christmas vacation! The location is really convenient for access to everything in Estes Park and entrance to RMNP. The condo was comfortable, very nicely appointed and has all the basics for meal prep and cooking. The mountain view from the living room/kitchen and deck is breathtaking! Watching the sun rise over the mountains while sipping our morning coffee was one of the many highlights of our stay. The views from the balcony were amazing...we saw so much wildlife! In fact, as we were there during Elk rut season, we saw more elk from our balcony here than we did in the National Park! Location as stated in the listing....perfectly close to downtown and the National Park but still in a quiet location,... perfect for serenity. Hot tub on the deck/balcony was phenomenal...our favorite amenity! Bedrooms spacious and comfortable...watch out though, ....the beds are high up!! Cleanliness was an A+! We saw lots of elk and deer right on the property. It was super close to RMNP and downtown (10 min each) making it a fantastic location. Beds and couches were extremely comfortable, and it was really nice having individual bathrooms for each couple. We were very pleased with the 2 bdrm condo, very beautifully decorated. Master bdrm had a comfortable king bed with a double sink and shower. The 2nd bedroom smaller but still very comfortable.Living room was nice and spacious with comfortable couches to relax and watch tv or just hang out. The kitchen was stocked - a lot of things looked new. The deck was comfortable and had stunning views of the mountains. Very good location to the RMNP and downtown. The location is great with easy access to Rocky Mountain National Park and Estes Park. We enjoyed the deer and the Mountain View. To be completely honest, I was hesitant on booking it due to how high the cleaning fee was. After some consideration, I decided to book it, and I wouldnt have had it any other way! The keypad to get in was incorrect but they have an after hours number to call. The gal was very helpful at getting me in as soon as possible, especially after a long day of travel and it being cold and snowing outside. The space itself is so perfect. A hot tub was a non-negotiable for me and it was very well maintained. Overlooking the mountain scenery was exactly what I had wanted. The kitchen came with all essentials. The bathrooms had plenty of towels and toiletries. The bedrooms were cozy and the living areas were great. I very much appreciated the time they took to clean and prepare for my stay. I now know why the cleaning fee was higher and its because they truly take pride in their spaces being perfect for their guests. Overall, I would absolutely highly recommend anyone to stay at any of their Airbnbs in Estes Park, CO. Being able to cook and do our laundry was a huge plus. One down side is parking in the snow/ice due to the parking spot being at an angle on hill and not plowed. Not the end of the world. They do provide a shovel. The lodge is super close to downtown Estes and only about an hour away from skiing and adventures! The place was exactly as expected from the pictures. Very clean. comfortable and has everything you need. We truly loved it. The only advice I would give is DO NOT arrive in the dark. The layout of the units is extremely confusing and you can not see the unit numbers unless you walk up to each unit and activate the dim motion sensor light over the number. We visited during elk fest and the amount of elk we saw did not disappoint! The rooms were nice and the unit was clean. Parking was a breeze. If youre planning to cook meals, be prepared to buy/bring some items. It was not very equipped beyond the absolute essentials - couple of knives, few pots and pans, etc. There was coffee and a drip pot which was all we needed! The deck with the hot tub was great. The hot tub was amazing and felt great after an active day! We feel the kitchen was well stocked overall with things that we need and for meals. The grill worked great. Management was good at communication before and during our visit as needed. We had one hiccup and a few suggestions:1) Both toilets were not flushing when we got there. They were both plugged. Very frustrating, but we contacted management and they did get on it and rectified the issue.2) there is a rug when you enter that curls up on both sides. This can be a particular trip hazard. Recommend to switch this rug out for a new one3) There was not a crock pot available for use. This would have been very handy to make a meal for later after you are done hiking and tired from the day. 4) THe stairs outside of the condo going down to the parking lot are not well lit at night. This can also pose a possible hazard. Recommend some possible solar type lights or motion activated lights?Other than that, it was a nice place, comfortable and clean. I loved that we were not right in the heart of town, made our time even more relaxing after hiking for the day. Although, such a quick drive in to town. The condo was spacious and had everything we needed, and parking was very convenient and right outside the door. It was a few minutes away from the busy downtown tourist areas, so that was a big plus for us - it was very private and quiet. We had one small hiccup upon checking in with one of the commodes not flushing properly, so that was a brief inconvenience, but the management team was responsive to our request for repair and they got it taken care of. The SkyRun staff was kind and very helpful on the multiple occasions we spoke with them. The second we walked in it felt very homey and cozy. It was incredibly clean and provided more than most hotels or airbnbs. It had everything including extra towels, pillows, soap, pots, pans and cooking seasonings. We did pay extra for a hot tub and it says they are kept at 104 degrees. But while the hot tub was warm, it was well below 104. So we only used this one time. There is plenty of room and the view of the mountains is amazing. I enjoyed watching the sun rise over the mountains every morning. We had a family of deer and rabbits that visited daily and there were elk out near the road. Hummingbirds were also flying all around. The location is just outside of town with a much better view than any place we saw in town. The starter set of paper goods was pretty scarce so we did find ourselves shopping on our second day there. Dollar General is not far from the condo so I recommend shopping there. The grocery stores were pricey. We didn't use the grill, but it's nice that it's there if you want to cook rather than eat out. The beds and furniture are very comfortable and there were plenty of pillows. We had a few issues to ask about and the communication was very quick via email. There was not a cover on the hot tub, but instead had a large tarp with tie downs. That was a real pain in the butt to deal with. I can only assume a new cover will be placed soon for future guests. The dishwasher was not anchored and tipped every time we pulled a rack out. They did say there was a work order in on that already though. Check in/out was simple and we didn't have any issues with that. There is a heated pool and a community fire pit so be sure to check that out. We loved the fire pit in the late evening. Holly Jacobson Stayed Aug, 2019 Twin Owl 21A My husband and I stayed at this property for a week (8/22-8/29) and had an amazing experience. From the moment you drive up to the property you are struck by the grandeur of the location with the mountains being all around you. Once you walk into the property it’s likes walking into a condo decorated by HGTV. The kitchen was stocked with all the modern conveniences of home making eating in (and saving money) very easy. It was just the 2 of us so we only used the master bedroom, but the bed was extremely comfortable. The 2 headed shower In the master bedroom was amazing also after long days hiking. Perhaps our favorite thing was the hot tub we enjoyed every night under the starry nights on the deck. It was simply amazing and truly helped relax our fatigued muscles from hiking 7-8 hours each day. We had a small issue with our grill not starting and they had someone out to the property within an hour to look at it. While it was getting late and they didn’t have the right parts on them at that time they did come out the next morning and fix it for us. I think the only negative thing (which is super minor) was that the dishwasher is not screwed into the cabinetry (looks like it was glued and wasn’t holding ) and every time you opened both the top and bottom rack it would tip forward and dishes would roll forward. Again this was super minor and sure that now that they know about it they will fix it. If we ever get back to Estes Park we will absolutely stay here again. Very happy customers.? There was an effortless check-in procedure, and everything was very clean when we arrived. The kitchen had plenty of eating/cook ware, and enough towels were provided for everyone. The whole place was wonderfully decorated and had a great mountain vibe. A couple of things that were disappointments: The hot tub instructions were unclear and buttons unlabeled. We were unsure how to get it to turn on or off and were afraid of messing up the presets and incurring a fee (which the instructions warned of).For 6 people staying 3 nights, only 1 and 1/2 rolls of toilet paper were provided, so we had to purchase our own. The town within Estes Park is also very charming. The place is very clean with some great finishes, you will feel very comfortable and relaxed. The pull out couch is very comfortable and you will have great views the entire time. The hot tub and fireplace were awesome to have. You seriously cannot go wrong with this place, worth every penny.
