Feel right at home when you step into the sunny, spacious and welcoming living room. This cozy 1930’s cottage received a makeover just a few years ago but retained the charm. Plenty of room for the family to gather in front of the gas fireplace for movie night on chilly fall and winter evenings. The sliding glass doors take you from the kitchen to the large outdoor deck and big backyard. Put a steak on the gas BBQ grill for a summer evening picnic. A great way to end the day! Need a little space for some quiet time or a place to sit and read a book? The sun porch accessed from the bedroom with two twin beds, it just what you need. With windows that open and close and a small wall heater this porch is a year-round cozy retreat. The galley style kitchen has more than enough counter space, all of the necessary appliances including a dishwasher and is equipped with the cookware you need to make meals everyone will enjoy. Two full bathrooms, one on the upper level and one on the lower level, each with a walk-in shower, makes getting everyone ready for the day an easy task. Are you looking for a vacation getaway to call home, come to Your Vacation House! Things to be aware of: Parking for 1 car in the driveway and 1 car on the street. The garage is not for guest use. No A/C, there are fans in each bedroom. Must be at least 25 years old to rent this home. Quiet time at 9pm. Management provides a starter kit of amenities (an extra roll of toilet paper in each bathroom, one extra roll of paper towels, 2-3 garbage bags, sample-sized bottles of shampoo and conditioner, small bar soap, 2-3 laundry powder packs, 4-5 dishwasher pods, and liquid dishwashing soap). Additional supplies can be purchased in town. Long-term reservations of 14+ days require mid-stay property safety checks at no charge or mid-stay cleans, additional charge applies. The kitchen had everything we needed. My husband and I stayed in the Master Suite located in the newly renovated basement. The bed was comfortable, we opened the two windows for fresh air, and the bathroom was well built.We spent a lot of time on the bench outside overlooking the lake. We also had an easy walk to the lake and the American Legion now open to the public where we had drinks and played pool. We were also very close to Estes Park downtown and the park entrances. Kate Stayed Jul, 2024 Review We stayed at this house for a week while we had an event at the Fairgrounds- this house was exactly what we needed. The house itself was exactly as billed and made for a great home base. The screened in porch was especially nice during the afternoon storms. The house is walkable to the fairgrounds as well as to the golf course, fishing, and downtown for food and shopping. Within a 10-15 minute drive you can get up into Rocky Mountain National Park or into Thompson Canyon to look for wildlife or go hiking which is all to say the location is amazing.
