Paul Harney Golf Club’s par 60, 18-hole course challenges golfers of all levels and incorporates woody pines and other native plants into the play. The recently renovated  Cape Club also serves up 18 holes of play. Perfect your game at the course’s driving range and chipping area, and putting green.

Coastal flair meets retail therapy along Falmouth’s Main Street. This shopping hub will have you adding bestsellers, boutique clothing finds, artisan wares, and gallery pieces to your bag. Outside of Main Street, national retailers round out Falmouth’s retail fare.

Don’t just play in the water. Nearby Woods Hole Science Aquarium is the country’s oldest public aquarium and more than 80 species focus on local marine life. Hike, walk, or grab the binoculars for bird watching at Crane Wildlife Management Area where grasslands, woodlands, and wetlands converge. Gardening and architecture aficionados need to add Highfield Hall and Gardens to their Falmouth stay. Wander through the  kitchen, formal, and woodland gardens and be sure to leave time to tour the dazzling historical mansion.

Not surprisingly, Falmouth excels in fresh seafood fare. Enjoy your lobster or fresh flounder while sipping cocktails along the water. Popular trails include the Shining Sea Bikeway and the Knob (Cornelia Carey Sanctuary). Shining Sea Bikeway’s 2.5 miles of paved trails create easy conditions for biking and walking. For a chance to weave your fitness into nature, the Knob’s 118 acres along the shoreline let hikers and bikers smell the sea breeze as they wander through the meadows and woodlands. Bikers, some moderate inclines elevate your endeavors.
