The location and amenities were amazing and you can still put any drinks/food from any of the restaurants/lounge etc. on the room. And Steve was always extremely responsive if I had a question. The only reason I am giving four stars is because the room looked worn and like it had hosted several parties (stained carpet for example), it didnt seem dirty, just worn. Also, the patio was large but seemed a little dirty, and since it was not covered someone from a higher floor kept throwing cigarette butts onto the patio. But overall I would book this room again. This specific unit has a private, oversized balcony that is half open and half covered, overlooking the pool area. It has partial views of the ocean. Not much is communicated as far as the amenities or use of the hotel. We happened to find out that because this unit is a "private owner" unit, you can use the valet located on South Drive right outside of the Sorrento Tower. This is MUCH more convenient than trying to wait at the main valet for the hotel. The valet ticket will have an extension on it. If you call ahead, they'll have your vehicle ready.Ice is not located on each floor. You'll have to dial #59 for housekeeping and they will bring ice or towels to you pretty quickly.We never received any solid information on room service. My best advise is to check out the hotels website for information on the restaurants. Beware of the prices of food & drink at the pool.... 4 Bahama Mamas cost a total of $112!The listing says you receive 2 Spa Passes, but no further information was provided on that and we couldn't get the Spa or concierge to answer their phones. If you have any issues with the room, don't call guest services or concierge. Contact the owner directly through Airbnb. I guess because this unit is privately owned and doesn't have a maintenance package, the hotel tells you they'll send someone but they never do.Overall, the room was great. It was clean, very spacious, and was comfortable enough to stay in for 5 days. I would book again, but I'd ask more questions ahead of time to be better prepared for our stay. Before even booking, I had so many questions and felt very secure with how attentive Steve and his team were addressing all of my concerns. Everything about this experience was outstanding, which is why I decided to take the time and give this a great review. From the initial check in at The Fontainebleau Main Front Desk, to the complimentary efficient Valet Parking, to the magnificent room and view, this was the best decision ever. We actually moved from another 5 Star Hotel and it made our trip amazing in every way. The Sorrento is gorgeous and with its old world charm, it makes you feel like youre in authentic Miami Beach Florida. Housekeeping was very attentive every day giving us all of the towels, linens and things that we needed. It really wasnt so bad without housekeeping due to COVID, we made due and it was well worth the benefits of staying here. This room is on a low floor and we actually liked it more than being high up. The views were so tropical and it really made us feel like we were in Florida. The room has a huge corner balcony that jets out, making it double the size of a regular one. The decor of the room is done well with a great amount of drawers, cabinets, as well as shelving to accommodate 4-5 people and a magnificent bathroom. The convertible sofa was perfectly comfortable for my kids to sleep in. With the few concerns we had, owner services promptly assisted us. It felt like we were dealing with The Fontainebleau Hotel directly in every way, even though we werent. In our humble opinion, there is nothing to think about and no where better to stay but The Fontainebleau. My only petty suggestions for the future would be for them to leave a broom, a mop and a plunger for us to maintain the room due to no housekeeping, as we needed those items from time to time. We also liked the convenience of having a microwave, toaster, sink, dishes and glasses. I would also like to suggest a cooler refrigerator that is in good working order since you added all these other kitchen conveniences. We still were able to get an additional one for a fee from housekeeping anyway. Otherwise this is a no brainer decision and no better place to stay but The Fontainebleau Hotel in such a fabulous room. Well be back soon, thats for sure!!! If the front desk could be more accommodating/pleasant everything would be perfect. Please also be aware that due to COVID-19 a lot of things are scaled back a bit. Dinning out in the day is easy but things get difficult after 10pm. If you are staying in the Sorrento building (which is likely), your entrance will be a circular driveway on Collins road. The valet more than likely will guide you to check-in. Expect to pay a deposit for room upfront at the frontdesk and possibly a cleaning fee upon departure. The pools are crowded by 8am on holidays and about 9-10am on other days. Your room will be clean and gorgeous. Your stay will be peaceful indoors and laid-back but not too loud outdoors. Enjoy.
