The hot tub wasnt working the whole time, which was a HUGE bummer as I chose this house due to the location and tub. We were refunded 10%, which is better than nothing. My wife and I had the perfect stay at this quaint "cabin" in the woods with a glorious view of the Rocky Mountains. We loved everything from the location to the amenities and immaculate cleanliness, and the private hot tub was definitely something we could get used to. SkyRun was extremely easy to communicate with, very responsive, and friendly. Due to the location being in Black Hawk, we did have to drive a good 20-30min to find somewhere to eat not in a casino just a heads up there. The complimentary artisan coffee was just the cherry on top (even encouraged to take the rest of the bag!) Ask about their honeymoon package for you honeymooners out there a relatively inexpensive additional cost and SO WORTH IT! All that to say, we would book here again in a heartbeat. Skyrun is always available through text or phone call if anything was needed. Clean, cozy and all amenities were as described. Instructions were accurate and very detailed. The owners pay close attention to detail to make their guests feel like theyre home (cooking equipment/pans, coffee maker, toaster, seasoning, smores making ingredients, shampoo, conditioner, body wash, lotion, laundry detergent etc.). Also was provided with snow shovels which was a must in the winter weather! The driveway was plowed if over 4in snowfall which made it convenient. Loved having access to a grill, fire pit, and hot tub! Had such an amazing trip only about 1-1.5 hours from well known ski resorts and into downtown Denver. Had no problem making day trips skiing, exploring, or snowmobiling in areas close by. Will definitely book more vacations using Skyrun! Clean, many conveniences supplied (laundry pods, cookware, coffee, bottled water, box fan, first aid kit, cool mist humidifier). We really enjoyed using the hot ton on a cooler evening, and having the mountain views in the distance while drinking our morning coffee. There were a few hot days during our stay, so the unit was a bit warm at times, but once you opened up the windows and sliding glass doors to get a cross breeze, it cooled off and was very very comfortable. The supplied box fan certainly helped with this as well since the unit doesnt have AC. On the colder days during our visit, the gas fireplace was very enjoyable. The property was very conveniently located to a few small towns and only 1-1.5hr drives to Breckenridge, Denver, & Estes Park. All of which were beautiful drives. The rental owner & property management company were super responsive if/when needed and contacted. Overall this was an amazing stay and a wonderful rental. We would highly recommend. I'll admit I was worried about travelling in peak summer to an AirBnB without air-conditioning, but it was a total nonissue. Even when Boulder was 94F in Boulder, simply opening the (many) windows got it to a perfect temperature. The location couldn't have been better for us; nestled in the mountains of Black Hawk, everything is a beautiful 45 minute drive away. My only regret is that my rental car wasn't nearly fun enough for the surrounding roads!Thing to note for future guests:It shouldn't need to be said, but there is no DoorDash/UberEATS in range - or wasn't during our stay at least. Black Hawk is a short drive and has a number of great take-out restaurants, but note that some of them are squarely within giant casinos so popping out in pajamas to grab food can feel a little daunting. The kitchen is more than capable of doing anything you'd need (THE fanciest microwave I've ever seen) as well so hitting up a grocery store for a longer stay can make sense. If you're looking for a upscale cabin in the woods, this is it. The space is about 30 minutes up a mountain. On the drive up we saw a bear cub, and we were treated to a little snow in June. Unfortunately, due to Covid the casinos in the nearby town were all closed. However, Glennwood Caverns ( about 2 hours away) was open. The drive there is 100% worth it, and has some breath taking scenery. Highly suggest taking a trip to Gennwood. This place is also close is Devener for a night out or Idaho Springs for some rafting. The Hot Tub was a great amenity especially to use on the cool evenings. The location was great and centrally located to Denver, Boulder, Estes Park for day trips, and to Black Hawk/Central City for evening trips to the Casinos.
