Could use some updates and maintenance which have been noted in previous client comments and not completed. Overall great unit! Read previous comments most are very accurate. Master bed was uncomfortable. Easily fixed with mattress topper. Pillows were horrible as noted in previous comments. I hate to say anything negative about this unit because it really is an amazing place. I hope the owner will make some minor maintenance and updates. We would love to come back. It has a room built off the kitchen/living room that walls do not extend to ceiling, has limited space and uses two fold out bunk beds. Unit was cozy and had everything needed. We are all our meals in the condo and had great times of hanging out in the evenings after skiing during the day. Rented our ski equipment from Keystone sports- less than a minute away. My family of five recently stayed here during our annual Keystone ski vacation. We could not have found a better condo. The location was perfect. Being able to put on boots and grab our skis from the new ski lockers in the garage area and then walking no more than 20 steps to the base area was great for kids. On top of that location, the condo itself is great. The separated bunk area for two kids plus the extremely comfortable fold out sleeper sofa accommodated everyone just fine. Its also nice having two bathrooms. We never found any bedding for the sleeper sofa. If its there. Maybe the owners could add a second set of sheets. And the pillows in the master bedroom were very subpar. But thats the only complaint I can find. And thankfully, my wife and I always travel with our pillows from home.The kitchen had everything we needed to cook all of our meals in the house. The location was a short walk to the lift. I read some of the reviews about the place being small and I did not find that true. It was a good size and had the bunk room that was a great addition. We used it for a suit cases. There is plenty of room for clothes and there were enough hangers in the closet! the small things matter.The bed was comfortable for me, I like a harder mattress. (wish it was a King) The pillows need updating. they were pretty flat. Someone's review said there was no water pressure but it was fine. I liked the entry with all those hooks and bench and baskets were a great idea. We hung all of our ski clothing. what a way to organize. The Murphy bed was comfortable, didn't try the bunks. Over all it was a great place, the only thing it is missing is a fireplace but I fell in love with the recliner. Great place to sit by the window and read. The only thing I didn't like is there is no shuttle, so have a car if you are staying at this condo. there is no place to eat at night unless you walk up to the main road. There is a nice trail up there so it's 10 minute walk but not a lot to choose from. There is local bus pick up there but it was to confusing to figure which on to take if you are not familiar with the area. Be care with the room card key. We had one that didn't work and had to walk up to the main road to the office to get another one. then the last day we went to the jacuzzi just to find out the card won't work and we couldn't get back in. that was so much fun. ( no phone with us) took over a hour by the time we found some one who would let us use their phone. Not sure why the card suddenly stop working. But once we got a hold of the office someone came right down. so... make sure you card works before you get in the Jacuzzi. Rik W. Stayed Feb, 2021 2796 Slopeside Great unit in a great location. Very comfortable for 6 people. The cabinet bed in the living room is very comfortable. Exactly as described on VRBO Perfect location just across from Mountain House base lodge. Very clever how they arranged basically a one bedroom unit to sleep 6 with two murphy bunk beds in separate area plus a high quality queen murphy bed in living room. We really appreciated being able to walk home to eat lunch and rest between runs. The parking garage has a surprisingly high clearance. Our mini van, with cargo carrier on top, was just able to fit inside. Neighbors were quiet and we had no interruptions for our stay. Loved the mud room right inside the door! When traveling with three kids it's great to have a place to contain the gear bomb where you don't need to see it. Plenty of paper towels, toilet paper, dish pods, and other necessities were left, even hand sanitizer and wipes. Keep in mind, check in is off site and you can't park until you check in. I'm a needleworker who wasn't much interested in skiing this time, but from my chair in the LR I could actually see my family anytime they were on the lower slopes. The ski school was very close and the little kids loved it. A chair lift and the shuttle were both convenient for getting to other areas of the resort. Very close to the slopes (a short walk) but not ski-in ski-out. There are "no ski boot" signs all over the building - I ended up changing into my ski boots in the heated garage which was a little inconvenient but not terrible. A little hard to find so pay attention to the directions when you pick up the keys on the north side of Route 6. Nice kitchen for cooking, comfortable bed, and unique bunk beds for the kids. The condo was really clean, the building was quiet, and the sleeping accommodations allowed us lots of flexibility with 3 young kids. Ski storage, underground parking, and a short walk across the street to the lifts were conveniences we really appreciated. The condo itself was spacious and comfortable, with great views and access to nice hot tubs. The kitchen amenities/cookware/appliances were in great shape and made meal prep much easier than it normally is when traveling. Also really nice management of all the details (info for check in, etc and the process was easy). Added bonus to be able to keep your car in the garage the rest of the day even after checking out. Why not five stars: largely because the elevator in the building crapped out on us the third day we were there. Master bed wasn't the most comfortable and has a sag in the middle, bathroom needs updating but was very clean.Far, far more pros than cons to this place. We would definitely book it again. Everything was clean and the view beautiful. We came with 2 kids and where surprised to find a bunk bed without rail. It was not usable but there was another sleeping spot in the living room. We would have preferred to use the bunk bed though. All together a great experience! Margy R. Stayed Mar, 2017 Our stay at Slopeside Fabulous updates and lots of room for our family of four....even with our adult children! We almost purchased a home here in the 1990's. The owners of this condo have done a fabulous job of incorporating some original features, with wonderful updates. The additional storage with baskets and cubbies were perfect for our ski gear! The views of the mountain, and location to the base are perfect. It's a bit quieter than a village area but that was so nice because it was never crowded! We can see the lifts start in the morning and watch the experts come down Go Devil! The kitchen was well equipped and their was plenty of comfortable seating after a long day of skiing. If we didn't want to get in our car, the bus was steps away that would take us to River Run, less than a 5 minute ride. Excellent stay and I would highly recommend this home. Stephanie N. Stayed Mar, 2017 Perfect size for my family of 4 Penthouse 2796 was perfect for us!! I loved the cozy feel and the decor! The bed was very comfortable and the Murphy beds were perfect for my kids. There is also a pull out sofa bed that is comfy as well. This condo could not have been in a more perfect location. The view of the slopes was amazing and we were literally steps from the ski rental, mountain house lodge and the lifts!!! I would reccomend this condo to anyone who wants a great view with a short walk at a great price. We can't wait to return!!' Greg S. Stayed Feb, 2017 Great location. Amazing view. Great location. Amazing view. Convenient access to Mountain House. Well kept condo. One suggestion is the bathroom is dated and could use a renovation. Also the bathroom and master bedroom could use locks on the doors. Jill Stayed Jan, 2017 Review The best part of this rental is the location. If you are a family, it's steps to the ski school, lift tickets and rentals. The place itself is a bit dated, but easy to get to and pleasant enough.
