Start your mornings slowly from the rocking chair on the front porch as sunlight filters through the trees lining the nearby river corridor. In the evenings, gather around the stunning double-sided wood-burning fireplace at the center of the home, the true heart of the retreat, creating the perfect cozy atmosphere for conversation, movies, games, or quiet nights together.

Inside, the home is warm, comfortable, and thoughtfully designed with rustic character throughout. Exposed peaked wood ceilings, thick stone and cement walls, and insulated windows create a true cabin feel while naturally helping keep the home cool in summer and warm in winter.

The home comfortably accommodates couples, families, remote workers, and small groups with three bedrooms and two full bathrooms. The spacious primary suite features a comfortable Queen bed, while the second bedroom offers a Queen bed and the third bedroom includes a cozy twin trundle bed, ideal for children, solo travelers, or flexible sleeping arrangements for smaller groups.

The fully equipped kitchen includes everything needed for preparing meals during your stay, while the dining area can seat up to six guests (when folding out the table) for shared meals, wine nights, morning coffee, or remote work days with fast WiFi available throughout the home. Smart TVs with Roku in two bedrooms and a convenient all-in-one washer/dryer help make both short and extended stays comfortable and easy.

Outside, guests can enjoy peaceful evenings grilling on the BBQ or relaxing beneath Arizona skies. While there is not currently formal patio furniture, additional outdoor chairs and a folding table are available for guests who want to enjoy outdoor dining and fresh desert air.

Just diagonally across the street, a nearby walking path leads toward Beaver Creek and the Verde River corridor in less than five minutes. Guests can enjoy peaceful walks, birdwatching, fishing, nearby kayaking access, hiking, biking, and immersing themselves in the natural beauty of the Verde Valley. • Part of the charm of Heartstone Retreat is its peaceful tucked-away setting. The final approximately 3/4 mile to the home is along a rural gravel road with a few narrower one-lane areas, so we recommend slowing down, especially after dark, and enjoying the quieter pace of Verde Valley living.
