We stayed at Phoenix 118 with 2 other families and had a great time! The location is great- short walk to the base, very close to a bus stop, and easy to find parking for our extra car (at least in the summer months). The unit is well furnished- it's not the newest place but everything is well maintained and well thought out. There are a lot of stairs which is to be expected but worth mentioning as we did have a kid with a broken ankle which was tricky but doable. The community amenities were much better than expected- the pool area is much nicer than it looked in the pictures, the grounds were very well maintained, and the clubhouse amenities were great. The gondola is roughly a block away by foot. We were able to fit our crossover suv fine into the garage, and theres plenty of room to lean your equipment in the garage. There are some close eateries, but nothing I would recommend. A small shop a block away is a good spot to swing by in case you forget any essentials. Overall I would recommend this spot. The location of the property is awesome in relation to the mountain. It was about a ten minute walk to the gondola. The shuttle service is a really convenient and awesome amenity that comes with the rental. A shuttle shows up on call to bring you to the mountain or anywhere downtown within ten minutes. The Skyrun personal I talked to was always helpful and nice. We had three couples and four adults stay at the unit. It was comfortable, but I wouldnt recommend more than ten adults. The description is a little conceiving when it says newly renovated. The main level bathrooms are older and the whole downstairs studio needs updating. Stayed Nov, 2021 Great set up and spacious Our stay was great, there were a few hiccups with an appliance but the manager was helpful and accommodating. We cooked all our food there 3 meals a day. The only thing that threw us off was how many doors there were to get in and out so trying to keep an eye on 2 toddlers a d the doors was a little exhausting but expected. Maybe if there was an extra latch at the top to help with the security of that would of been good. Other than that everything was perfect we had alot of fun family time and hiked a few trails. Value was ok given holiday time of year. COVID made it far more challenging for amenities, so we ate in nearly 100% and kitchen was well supplied to support. Hot Tub scheduling was good, we had one overlap in booking a reservation. Washer/dryer were important given COVID and washer worked, but dryer needed part that could not be acquired in town. A lot of the furniture was dusty, the couches in the living room were terribly smelly and stinky and the towel bar in one of the bathrooms was very loose. The unit was clean and everything was in good working order. The kitchen was well stocked and the gas fireplace was a nice touch after a long day of skiing. Working with Tyler and the SkyRun staff was not only easy, but they were flexible and worked with any last minute changes we needed. The condo was perfect. The location was ideal because it's a 2-5 minute walk to the resort, a local market to get food, ski shops, and more. After a day of skiing, all we had to do was open the large sliding glass door, walk ten steps and you're there. We couldn't hear any outside noise from inside the condo either! The inside of the condo made you feel like you were a local living in the area. Authentic Steamboat pictures, cozy fireplace, good size kitchen, comfortable leather couches, large beds, TV, etc. I cannot wait to come back and stay with SkyRun Steamboat.
