(: Andrew Stayed Jan, 2024 Review This place was a perfect location for a great ski weekend in the powder. A couple limitations on the site is no direct shuttle to the resort. You will need to park at the lot about 1 mile away to utilize the shuttle service from there. Or get to a bus stop that gets you up the resort. The other limitation is parking (which is stated in the listing). One thing that's not listed is if you have a second car, the extra parking on the east side of the building that is advertised, is not good from November-April due to snow. The place itself had all the amenities we needed as well as a nice selection of toys, games and books for our kids which was nice not to have to pack all that. It was also close to town about ~8min drive and 5 min to grocery store so easy to get to everything. The view from the balcony over the surrounding area was also really beautiful, especially when it was snowing. I definitely recommend a car with AWD/4WD and snow tires if coming in the winter as some of the roads are a little steep driving up.The one thing that we were a little disappointed about was that the rec room was closed due to construction which isn't the fault of the owners but just a minor drawback. Also the noise from the construction was a little loud at times.Otherwise we really enjoyed our stay and definitely recommend it. Host's response: Thank you so much for your thoughtful response, Ben. The views are amazing - some of the best in Steamboat, and you can walk down to the ski base by cutting through the condos across the street. We had a great time! A few things were inconvenient, however, and would have made the check in easier. The rental agency sent MANY emails before the trip, each with differing info so you had to search multiple emails to find what you needed, etc. There was one parking spot (and no street parking, at least with the snow). They did not tell us there was low clearance and so we could not fit into the spot with our car top carrier on. There is a ski locker to use and you are given a code for it, but there are actually three ski lockers and so you must use the code on all three to figure out which one it is. Likewise, there are two lockboxes at the front door and you have to try both to find out which one is yours. Lastly, the hot tub has a plastic sheet cover, so it wasn't really useable as the water was not warm enough in the cold temps.Those are small details that seem fixable. The place is great overall! I was traveling with a parent that started having health issues and had to cut the trip short. So we had to go home a bit earlier than the scheduled date. Really enjoyed the view from the balcony and the hot tub was nice as well (although not as great a view from the hot tub). Biggest complaint would be lack of cleanliness. It's highly apparent the cleaning crew does a quick once-over, without actually fully cleaning the condo. All furniture had crumbs and dust galore underneath them. The top of the fridge was caked in dust (which was super obvious, considering the fridge was only 5 ft tall). What it does not say is there is nowhere anywhere near the condo to park. This created some stress about getting one of the 4 extra spots since it is necessary to drive everywhere from this location.
