It seems like it is the pipes. If you are a light sleeper it will wake you. Just be prepared. Everything else about this place was fantastic! The bedrooms, kitchen and living room were plenty roomy for our group of four adults/teens. The wood burning fireplace, and provided firewood, was very enjoyable. The kitchen was very well equipped with all the utensils and everything we needed. The bathroom walls/ceiling could use a good cleaning and fresh coat of paint.
