Welcome to Sandstone 70 Condominiums! This wonderful two bedroom + loft/ two-bathroom property accommodates up to six guests with plenty of room to stretch out in! Located in a traditional cozy neighborhood of Vail, enjoy a relaxing and local experience. Far enough from the busy areas of the Vail but still within easy reach of restaurants, shops, and the lifts!

This home away from home has two levels. On the main floor, you’ll find the cozy living room as well as the open kitchen / dining room, both bedrooms and bathrooms. The kitchen is fully equipped and set-up to make a hearty breakfast before embarking on the days’ adventures.  The dining room table can fit up to six people.

The living room is set with a brand-new queen sleeper sofa and two chairs as well as a flat screen TV and gas fireplace to keep you warm and toasty. The mountain themed decor gives this home a pleasant and welcoming feeling. Just off the living room is a lovely deck with BBQ and a creek bustling below, the perfect place to unwind with a glass of wine and take in the scenery.

Both the master and the guest bedrooms offer queen beds, with inviting mattresses and hotel quality linens. The master has an en-suite bathroom with a shower/tub combo and the guest bathroom also has a shower/tub combo. You'll find the third sleeping area up a set of stairs that is attached to the wall in the hallway and is equipped with a king bed complete with comfy mattress and hotel quality linens, vaulted ceilings, and lots of natural light.

The complimentary in-town shuttle stop is located just outside the complex and runs every 15-20 minutes or take advantage of pedestrian bridge and walk into Lionshead in a matter of minutes. This delightful unit is the perfect winter and summer getaway, you will not be disappointed!

All Vail properties come stocked with a basic starter package of paper towels, toilet paper, facial tissue, hand/body soap, conditioning shampoo, dish soap, sponge and dishwasher detergent (this is a 3-4 night supply, guests may purchase additional products locally). Each home is equipped with hotel quality bed linens and towels. Kitchens are stocked with a coffee maker, cookware, bakeware, dishes, glasses, utensils and small appliances.

Nice Unit

The place worked out great, especially for skiing at Vail. The free bus is a three minute walk to the Red Sandstone Road stop. Take the Sandstone bus to and from Vail Village. It’s maybe fifteen minutes there and five minutes back to the bus stop on Red Standstone. The pedestrian bridge worked great to walk into Lionshead. It was probably a fifteen minute walk. The condo worked great. We enjoyed the games and puzzles at night. The Smart TV’s were nice. The couch, chairs, dining table and chairs were all very comfy. The parking spot is right outside the unit at the bottom of the stairs. It was super convenient and the number for this unit is listed on the ground. You are just off of the frontage road, so you can hear I-70 at night or with windows open. We just turned on the provided fans, and slept just fine.

PERFECTION!!!

9 Sandstone 70 was so fabulous with the most comfy living room furniture and beds. The kitchen had everything you would need. There is an abundance of various board games you can play. The 2 bedrooms were roomy and the 2 bathrooms were satisfactory. There is a cozy patio with a lovely view of trees and a near-by stream. The location is ideal for walking into Lionshead. If you need assistance of any kind, it is there at your beck and call. Athena with Sky Run Vacation Rentals was most accommodating.

I enjoyed my stay here. The two things that I would call out is that there is no AC which is difficult in the summer and that the 3rd bedroom is a loft accessible by ladder. It wasnt a major issue for us but could imagine it would be a hindrance for elder visitors. Overall, it worked, was affordably priced, and was perfect for our plans.

El departamento es tal cual se ve en las fotos. Lo nico que no estaba claro era el tipo de escalera que se suba al dormitorio d arriba. Tiene todos los utensillos ncesarios: lavarropa, lavavajilla, cafetera, etc. Es de muy fcil acceso y est a unos 600 metros del puente que cruza la carretera para llegar al centro de esqu. Muy recomendable.

Our stay in Vail was perfect! Not only the apartment well furnished, clean and supplied with everything you might need, from toiletries and towels to coffee , but it was in a very convenient location, not in the village, but an easy drive/shuttle ride away. But the best part was how great the hosts were: extremely responsive, and so helpful! They provided us with fans for the unusually hot weather we had, and were quick to reply to any questions! Fabulous service, and a nice place for 4 to 6 people!

My friends and I did a 2 day trip in Vail, and this place could not be in a better location. It is only a minute away from the shuttle service, but it is only a 10 minute walk into the village. It was really nice to have both easy options. The space itself was clean and had everything we needed for our stay (full kitchen, coffee, nice showers, spacious balcony etc.) There are also a lot of board games, so we spent our Friday night playing poker! Overall great experience and would definitely stay here again.

Great location, very convenient access to I-70 and both ski villages. Nicely maintained property. Only note is that the sound from I-70 is noticeable when the windows are open, which is needed in the summer for air flow. We all slept fine, but worth noting if you have light sleepers in your party.

Athena's unit is a fantastic accommodation for a very reasonable price. The location was excellent- it was about a 10 minute walk to the start of Vail Village, and maybe 30 minutes to Gondola One. We had 6 people, and there was more than enough space for everyone to sleep comfortably. The apartment gets warm in the summer, but just open the windows and it's very comfortable. The appliances were all in excellent condition, and we had pretty much everything we could have needed. Lastly, Athena was very friendly and super responsive when we had any questions. I would highly recommend staying here.

Recent stay

All was nice. The only thing I would have enjoyed is being able to watch television. I was able to log into my Netflix account but we were not able to watch much more than that. Although we were there for the skiing, as a family we enjoy relaxing and watching tv at night.

I stayed in the condo from 01/06 /22 - 01/09/22 and very much enjoyed my stay. CHECK IN - Athena was great about providing instructions via text and email. She even called me to confirm that I got everything. All instructions were clear and she was great to deal with. LOCATION - The location is right off Frontage Road across from I-70. We missed the entrance the first time, but quickly figured out where it was. There was some highway noise due to the proximity, but nothing horrible or offensive. Super easy to get to Lionshead or Vail Village. We ended up driving to the mountain in lieu of taking the bus just because it was easier. PARKING - There is a reserved spot right outside the entrance of the condo (note - entrance is on 2nd floor and requires stairs). It snowed during our stay and the driveway was plowed, but there was still a ton of snow to work around so 4 wheel drive would be helpful. Parking lot a bit tight, but very manageable. UNIT - The unit was great! Some of our friends flight got cancelled so we didn't utilize the loft, but it was very cool. the beds and blankets were very comfortable and furnishings were modern and new. There is a coat rack and bench when you first come in which was very helpful for storing ski equipment. The kitchen and bathrooms were a bit outdated compared to the rest of the unit, but everything worked fine. There were some great little touches in the unit - like the softest blankets ever, a nice fireplace, and a jar full of chocolates. Everything was extremely comfortable and cozy and the unit was a great base for the mountain activities. Would definitely stay here again if back in Vail.
