The location is terrific without being in the thick of everything. There is a dog park, river and short, easy walking path within minutes of the home, which is nice. The townhome development is on the older side and surrounded by a surface parking lot. There's plenty of parking, but no "curb appeal". So close to I-70, freeway noise is constant. The interior of the home was well furnished. The master bedroom has a super-comfortable bed. The kitchen is well stocked with utensils, plates, etc. The refrigerator is completely empty on arrival (unusual for Airbnb). Bring any condiments or cooking ingredients that require refrigeration (butter, etc). Hotel-sized toiletries are provided, I'd recommend bringing your own. Understand this home IS NOT AIR-CONDITIONED. It will be WARM on a sunny summer day. Especially on the 3rd floor.We experienced minor maintenance issues. The condo added to our experience in Vail. Positives:1. The downstairs room with bunk beds was a hit with the kids. 2. The location is great. The stream across from the condo and the hike next to it was really great. We hiked on both days. I think you should advertise this on AirBnB as this could be a huge attraction. 3. The 3 level layout was great. We were two families and having a division through the second level kept things private enough for each. We all were hanging out at the second level during the day. 4. Thank you for the ample amount of board games and small guitar that kept the kids busy. 5. Patio and hot tub was a huge hit as well. 6. Couldn't appreciate more the prompt communication via text. 7. Kitchen had everything available. All necessary things were completely stocked.8. Plenty of wildlife came to visit while we were sipping coffee on the patio. 9. 7-8 minutes from Vail Village and Safeway. Close enough that we didn't have to drive too far to do any activities and far enough where we had a nice quite place to ourself. Negative:1. Probably the only big concern were the mattress of both beds. They were too noisy to the point where I had to go sleep on the couch just so me and wife can get a good sleep. On a positive note there was enough sleeping space that it did not become a big issue. We would definitely try to rent the condo again should we have even more family come to visit us in Colorado. We had a fabulous time. The space was clean and well stocked with games (which we made great use of)! When we arrived the smoke alarm was chirping, but Athena quickly communicated how to change the battery so we could be safe and chirp-free. Biggest complaint is that the hot tub didnt stay hot. Once it reached the maximum temperature, it didnt maintain that heat which meant after 10 minutes we were shivering to get out!
