The kitchen was well stocked - everything you need to cook a big meal - even coffee was supplied for the first morning. The condo is recently renovated and everything is first rate - gas fireplace, heated floors, great bathrooms. Beds were very comfortable. The view of the slopes from the main space was amazing. It's an easy 10 min walk over the walking bridge to Lionshead village - no need to drive or pay for parking. The heated pool and 2 hot tubs were a great way to end the day for parents and kids. Comfortable beds (medium firm) and nice soft bedding, glorious steam shower in the main bath (every guest ended up taking a shower in there during the stay!), heated floors in the bathrooms were an awesome touch in the mornings. Kitchen was very well stocked and included necessary condiments and spices. Fridge/freezer were drawers built into the cabinetry - super unique but still allowed for ample food storage. Access to the heated pool and jacuzzis with decent hours for post-skiing relaxation. About 20-25 steps from parking lot to condo, and about a 10min easy walk into lionshead village (access to Eagle Bahn gondola) with another 5-10min bus ride into main vail village (gondola one) which provided a ton of restaurant and shopping choices. Athena was responsive and helpful and instructions were incredibly easy. We would not hesitate to rent this condo again and look forward to our next trip! It is a bit of walk to Lionshead base but store your ski kit at Vail ski tech (near the snowbird statue). You can store skis, boots, poles there overnight and your city boots while skiing. Once we figured that out (with help from a SunVail neighbor!) we were set. We will be back. It's a 5! The beds and chairs/sofas were comfortable and the home was well taken care of and appointed nicely. Very clean and just a pleasure to come back to after a day on the slopes. Lack of A/C could be an issue in the summer, but in the Winter if you want fresh air just open any window and you're fine. Beautiful balcony and communication was proactive from the get-go. I never had to ask for anything from anyone. If there is 1 negative, it's that the parking is quite a distance from the home which will definitely be a problem for those folks who may not be used to exertion or climbs. There is no elevator, so when you think you've made it home, there are still a couple more steps to go. It's really only an inconvenience when carrying equipment, groceries, or luggage. There are quite a few stairs leading up to the property, and the walk to the bus is doable, but a bit more challenging after a long day of skiing if you are wearing your ski boots. The only bummer in the house was the steam shower didn't work. Otherwise it was prefect. The property manager was very helpful, when we thought we might get snowed in by offering us an additional night. The location was perfect, less than a 10 min walk to the slopes. The kitchen was fully stocked and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable and the place was spotless. When we wanted to check out a bit late so we could ski in the morning before our flight, Athena was very flexible. All in all, a great stay! It is a gorgeous condo and only a short walk over a pedestrian bridge to Lionshead village. It was clean, very comfortable and stylish. Plus it has many little niceties of home like a full range of spices and other non perishable staples like olive oil and vinegar. We are already thinking of booking a return trip here! We stayed with our 4 daughters and had more than enough space for all of us to relax in the evenings. The kitchen was well appointed so we were able to eat some meals in. The kids enjoyed the heated pool and hot tubs even when it was raining! This condo is conveniently located next to the pedestrian bridge over to Lionshead Village where you can shop or dine, or catch the free intown bus to Vail Village. The from design to implementation, the condo strikes us as very well thought out. Would love to return. The main downside for us is the high cleaning fee. Only issue was 2 bedrooms got hot, the master bedroom got cold. Probably just user error on our end on how to heat or cool the bedrooms. But besides that it was a great place!
