Brian Head Resort

At 9,600 feet, this small-town resort has the highest base elevation in all of Utah. Add in an average of 360 inches of snowfall and proximity to multiple national parks–all making Brian Head a must on your skiing list. Two mountains connect to serve up 71 trails to whoosh down, but winter isn’t the only time to visit. Hiking, biking, and major outdoor adventures (think ziplining and summer tubing) make this a family-friendly destination no matter the date.

Zion National Park

Pick your mode of transport–kayak, bike, or your feet. No matter how you traverse Zion, the red rocks, rivers, and gorges infuse awe and wonder. The Narrows is a hiking must-do and for the fittest explorers, check out Angel’s Landing. Book a biking, hiking, and even horseback tour to explore this national and natural treasure.

Bryce Canyon National Park

Add hoodoo to your vocabulary, because you’ll remember these tall, rocky spires that Bryce Canyon is known for. By day, Bryce Canyon entices visitors with the Bryce Amphitheater for the best hoodoo-sighting in the park but don’t go home just yet. The lack of light pollution has earned the International Dark Sky Park designation, ideal for budding astronomers to sit under a blanket of stars–even see the Milky Way!

Dixie National Forest

Red rocks jut from the Earth, creating vistas of blue skies, deep pines, and turquoise skies that make Dixie National Forest a natural wonder. Ashdown Gorge Wilderness Area isn’t for the casual hiker but for intrepid wanderings, this 12-mile hike opens up to waterfalls, canyons, and backcountry sites. Pack your rods because you’ll want to cast off at one of 90 lakes or 500 miles of streams.. Check out guided horseback tours and ride some of Utah’s most scenic trails.

Cedar Breaks National Monument

Come visit nature at her most dazzling. The half-mile deep gorge offers layer upon layer of Utah’s famous red rocks that play against the deep pines and blue sky. Spring’s thaw opens new adventures and summer’s heat opens up wildflower meadows and hiking trails to explore. Fall’s leaves turn the park into an orange and gold canopy and when the snow falls, dig out your skis and snowshoes or maybe heighten the excitement when you snowmobile in the Colorado wilderness.

Brian Head, perched on a volcanic plateau, offers winter wonderland trails carved from its fiery past. Deer Hollow welcomes snowshoes with groomed paths, while Cedar Breaks and Dixie National Forest entice backcountry explorers. Traverse one or all of these paths.

Snow Tubing

Ice Skating

Snowmobiling

Conquer the trails of Dixie National Forest on a guided snowmobile tour or blaze your own path through the Cedar Mountain Snowmobile Complex. Scale up Brian Head’s 11,000 feet has heart pounding and adrenaline surging. These miles of trails plus more await your discovery.

Cross Country Skiing

Trade the trails for the slopes. The area’s paths beckon cross country skiing novices and pros. Groomed trails at Deer Hollow Recreation Area and Brian Head Resort let explorers wind through the alpine forests. Cedar Breaks National Monument and Dixie National Forest don’t offer groomed trails but serve up backcountry exploration. Always check trail conditions to explore safely.

Hiking & Biking

Capture views of Utah, Arizona, and Nevada when you ascend all 11,307 feet of Brian Head Peak. If that hike is a little too vigorous, the Brian Head area’s trails let you tailor your exploration. Mountain bikers can take advantage of bundled or single use passes to amp up the adrenaline and fly down Brian Head’s mountain paths. 

Fishing

Hook brookies and trout in waters schooling with this bounty! The Brian head area gives anglers ample chances for fly, stream, and lake fishing–why choose? Fly fish at local favorite Duck Creek and then test your luck at Navajo Lake and Panguitch Lake. For an even quieter experience, cast a line at one of the abundant streams carving their way through the land.

Disc Golf

Not your typical 18 holes! Grab the whole group for a game of disc golf. From June to September, see how you score on this challenging course winding its way through mountain paths. 

Lift Rides

The best way to capture views of the wildflower blooms and even maybe deer and elk? From the top of the lift, of course. Kick back and relax or hop off at the top to pound the trails or savor a picnic lunch. 

Scenic Drives

Hit the road for some of Brian Head’s most stunning drives.  The Patchwork Park Scenic Byway winds through the Dixie National Forest and keep an eye out for bald eagles soaring overhead. The 48-mile Panguitch Lake Scenic Byway invites riders to stop off at the lakes and small towns dotting the path. 

Up the Adrenaline

Pack sunscreen, swimsuits, and serious bravery when you come to Brian Head in the summer. Fully commit to fun when you sail through the trees ziplining, scale the outdoor rock wall, snap your way through the bungee trampoline, and bat a thousand at the Brian Head Slugger. Listen to up-and-coming talent at the Country Music Festival or feel like you’re in Munich for the mountain’s Oktoberfest. Jessika has been in the hospitality business for over 25 years, working at Alta, Snowbird, Zion National Park, and in the Park City area. Two years ago she founded Brian Head Cleaning Services which has grown 300% in two years, solely by word of mouth. Jessika’s attention to detail and enthusiasm is unsurpassed. Jessika has also created art and sold paintings in over 15 countries and was featured on media outlets across the world. She coproduced the Coca-Cola print campaign for the 2002 Winter Olympics, and has worked in the model and film industry including managing an outdoor sports TV station in Park City, UT. Jessika was also Owner and Publisher of Natural Mother Magazine from 2010 through 2020. Jessika is thorough and conscientious, and any property in her care is watched over with an owner’s mindset. She thrives in a fast-paced and ever-changing work environment and will go the extra mile in making sure her clients and their guests are always absolutely delighted.

Dave Firmage, Location Support

Dave is a Fire Ecologist for the U.S. Forest Service, Intermountain Region. His professional career in land management spans 20 years helping to steward some of our most iconic landscapes including Yellowstone and Zion National Park. His current role is to help forests and communities mitigate and prevent catastrophic wildfire events. Prior to land management Dave worked in the residential construction and remodel industry for over a decade. Dave holds Bachelor degrees in Geography and Environmental Studies from the University of Utah and a Masters degree in Earth Science from Montana State University. Prior to moving to his current home in Cedar City, Utah, he served as a Town Councilman in rural Utah. He is a wildland and structural firefighter and engineer, has been active in technical Search and Rescue teams, and is currently part of the Great Basin Complex Incident Management Team, which is dedicated to the management of large wildfire incidents across the United States.

Alex Soria, Manager of Business Development

Alex is a Data & Operations professional that has worked in various technology, e-commerce, travel and hospitality companies, including Homeaway, VRBO and Southwest Airlines. During his career Alex has hel[pped to lead & develop the Data Science teams and build state-of-the-art Data Warehouses designed to enable ccompany growth.

Alex is a Marine Corps veteran and has both a Bachelor and a Master degrees from the University of Utah with an emphasis in Finance. Alex is fluent in both English and Mandarin Chinese.

Paula Soria, Onboarding & Design

Paula is an Interior Designer specializing in collaborating closely with builders and developers to design model homes that reflect the unique character and lifestyle ofthe community. Her designs are carefully tailored to appeal to the target demographic, whether it is a family-friendly style, a suburban development or a luxury home.

Paula holds Bachelor Degrees in International Politics and Interior Design from BYU and IDI respectively and is fluent in English, French and Spanish.

As local residents, SkyRun staff are available to help you make the most of your trip to Brian Head.  We strive to have your property ready with everything you need and to provide you with all the information you will need even before you have to ask for it.

But if you DO need something, our staff are here to help daily (and on call 24/7 for emergencies).  We communicate with you the way YOU want to communicate.  That can be using our webchat or simply giving us a call. We’ll also be sending you a few emails before and during your stay wth important information. You can also text us via our industry exclusive 2-way text messaging system.

Check-In Instructions

Check-In | Check-Out

Check-in is 4:00pm MT and check-out is 10:00am MT.  A check-in instructions email will be distributed to guests 7 days prior to arrival date containing directions and access information for the property. In most cases guests will access a property via a lockbox or smart lock using the given access code. Early check-ins can only be confirmed on the day of arrival.

Guests must depart the property by the check-out time unless a late checkout has been coordinated and confirmed with the SkyRun office. Late check-outs must be coordinated directly with the SkyRun office no later than 9am on the day of departure; please note that if we have an incoming guest we will not be able to accommodate a late checkout.  We ask that guests remove major trash from the unit, return the furniture to it’s original location, and load and run the dishwasher.

Parking

Parking may be limited. The check-in instructions email will contain information regarding parking at your property.   Any parking fines assessed to your vehicles during your stay will be billed to you if they are billed to us.  Parking fines can be significant.

Property Damage Waiver

Enjoy peace-of-mind with our incidental damage protection.

SkyRun includes a property damage protection waiver on each reservation. The damage waiver covers damage to the property up to $1,500 so long as the damage is accidental and reported to SkyRun prior to your departure.  It does not cover damage that is willful, the result of negligence, or damaged caused by the misuse of household items. It also doesn’t cover unreported damage.  SkyRun doesn’t charge our guests a refundable damage deposit in lieu of the waiver. Unlike a refundable damage deposit, the damage protection waiver is non-refundable.

If during your rental of our property, you damage the real or personal property assigned to that property, SkyRun will cover the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to an amount not to exceed $1,500. Should the cost of the damage exceed $1,500 or does not meet the criteria for a “covered loss”, and the property owner’s insurance policy also does not cover the loss, then you shall be responsible for the full amount of the damage which will be charged to the credit card on file. Coverage is provided to you and all travelling companions that are staying in the home overnight during your stay.

SkyRun provides photos, maps, amenity details and reviews about the property you will be renting. Our staff has first-hand knowledge of each property, so don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions.

Our rentals come fully furnished including TVs, high-speed internet, linens and towels, a microwave, dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials. We sweat the details and provide starter supplies like shampoo, conditioner, tissues, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, soaps, trash bags, etc. We provide everything you expect from a fine hotel, and then some. Refer to individual listings to see more amenity information, and please contact us directly if you still have questions.

When you book direct with SkyRun, you avoid paying service fees that traditional listing channels charge, like Airbnb. Our prices are also competitive with rent-from-owner rates, but we offer professional service, optional travel insurance, and immediate on-site assistance should the need arise.  In addition, we offer exclusive discounts from local businesses, available only to SkyRun guests. SkyRun can help you plan and save on your entire vacation experience, not only the rental itself.

Travel insurance is an optional addition to your total rental charges. It is offered on our reservation form at the time of booking. It is also usually offered at the time of booking when you booked with a 3rd party booking site. You can also add travel insurance onto your reservation within 48 hours of booking with SkyRun. The cost of travel insurance varies and is usually between 7% - 9.5% of your total reservation cost depending on the coverage type.  If you do not have travel insurance, you can not cancel your reservation for any reason.  If you have travel insurance and need to cancel or make a claim refer to your specific policy. You can rent any of our properties by booking directly on this website using a credit card or you can call to book a reservation if you would like to speak with a vacation planner. When you book, 1/3 of your total reservation cost or a minimum of $300 is charged as a non-refundable deposit to secure your rental. 30 days before your arrival, the remaining amount is due and becomes non-refundable if you need to cancel for any reason (see travel insurance above for exceptions).  At this time, the credit card we have on file will be automatically charged for the balance.

For most properties, SkyRun utilizes a convenient keypad lock system which allows you to enter your vacation rental using a personalized access code, as opposed to having to pick up a key and worrying about keeping track of it during your stay. This also saves you the trouble of coming to a check-in center beforehand. Your welcome packet will be in your rental upon arrival, and our staff is always only a phone call away if any questions arise.

You must be 25 years old to rent. No smoking and no pets (unless specifically designated as pet-friendly) are allowed in the rentals. No parties where more than the number of people the property sleeps are allowed in the rental at any time. As in your own home, renters are of course subject to citations for noise violations, etc, handed down by public officials. Remember you are staying as a guest in someone's home, where much investment has been made to make your stay enjoyable; please treat all private property with the respect it deserves.
