Amazing Hospitality

Alice and Rod who manage the properties in Charleston are the best. The house was perfect and while we had a small issue out of their control, they did everything in their power to make the trip enjoyable. We even woke up one morning with coffee at the front door as there was bad weather the night before and they weren’t sure if we had power. If visiting the Charleston area booking via SkyRun is an absolute must and we will definitely be back.

We really enjoyed our stay at the Salty Dog house! We had a large family, and the accommodations were perfect for our large group. Anything we needed for a week long stay was provided. Alice and Rod were very responsive with any concerns we had. Our only downside was that the dishwasher was broken for the whole week, but the hosts made sure to provide us with paper products and additional dish soap. All in all, it was the perfect location and home for our family vacation! Highly recommend!!

Beautiful home in the perfect location. So many beach rentals have tacky decor- not this home. My wife has already located the sofa company online We all basically lived in the pool but the beach was so close we could easily go for daily walks every morning and evening. The layout was perfect for our big family vacation (with kids from 9-19!) Plenty places for lounging and dining and communing and secluding. The porch bed on the back porch was loved by all! 10/10 Definitely recommend! We will be back!

We stayed here as a family group for my son's wedding on John's Island. The beds were comfortable and the house easily accommodated us all with plenty of dishes, towels, and bathrooms. The pool was nice with different levels of depth. An easy walk to the beach. Everything is here for you to enjoy a fantastic get away. I would stay here again!

Salty Dogs was picture perfect! The home is absolutely beautiful, each room with its own vibe. Everything is so well thought out that we felt right at home. The neighborhood is quiet and peaceful and we enjoyed sipping coffee on the porch deck in the morning. Just a few minutes from Sullivans Island and some great nearby restaurants. We would definitely stay here again!

Wonderful location in IOP, walkable to good quality restaurants and of course the beach. The pool is pristine and each room is well appointed. Check-in/out is a breeze and our hosts were highly communicative and accommodating. Would gladly recommend and gladly return.

This was a great vacation house for our family there were six adults and a baby. The house was very roomy and we enjoyed hanging out in the pool everyday. The home was very clean and had plenty of amenities. There were plenty of beach towels and beach toys for children.We loved the location and that we could walk to the beach and the neighborhood was beautiful. It was also great to be so close to Charleston. I would definitely book another stay at this location.

Wonderful vacation spot

House and property are gorgeous. Kitchen is well equipped. Tons of space. Love the pool, the porch and the swings. Highly recommend this to anyone needing peace and quiet to relax or a large family of rowdy kids. There’s lots of stuff to keep everyone occupied. I hope to return.

Amazing House!

This house….AMAZING! The colors, the comfort, the thought that went into the design, make this home a step above anything else. From morning coffee on the oversized porch swing, to Netflix and chill while winding down for the evening, this house is set up for a great stay. Pool time, wine and chat time, enjoy your friends time…..it’s perfect. And the location! Phenomenal! We will definitely be back to stay again.

Isle of Palms Oasis

Breathtaking. The pictures of this home are amazing, but when you walk inside the front door, you will be blown away! We stayed there with a group of friends in July. Even with six adults, we had plenty of space and never felt cramped. Every space of the house, indoors and outdoors, is thoughtfully decorated. As Chefs, we THOROUGHLY enjoyed every aspect of the well planned, massive kitchen. It was well stocked with practically everything you need to prepare a simple or gourmet meal. In fact, during the summer, Mt. Pleasant has a Tuesday evening farmer's market, where we bought fresh produce for a big meal. Each couple had their own bathroom, and the bedrooms had blackout curtains for those of us who liked to sleep in. The bed was very comfortable. The screened in porch offers another area to sit back and relax, and catch up with friends. The oversized porch swing is perfect for reading or that afternoon nap. The pool, well what can you say about having your own private pool?! Down at the pool, there were plenty of seating options in and out of the sun. A ping pong table is also available for you to challenge your friends and fight for bragging rights. You even have the option to rent a golf cart which we highly recommend. It was so nice to zip over to the beach or local restaurants without getting in your car. There are some really great restaurants close by. The Boathouse and The Obstinate Daughter were two of our favorites. All in all, this beautiful home exceeds all expectations for a quiet oasis and a relaxing vacation away. Book it NOW!!

Review

This home is beautiful, very clean and has everything you could need for an amazing trip to the beach. From the pool toys, floats, loungers, beach supplies, sand toys, beach wagon, coolers, outdoor games, indoor games and a kitchen that has everything you could need (even apices & oils). We were Grandparents, big kids & little kids and I think the house was stocked better than my own for fun! We had a small misunderstanding with something in the description and not only did they try to rectify it immediately, they changed their description, contacted my husband for his advice & had beautiful flowers delivered to us. This home and the owners and management company went above and beyond for us. We would 100 percent stay in this beautiful home again.

Beautiful house; great for families!

Salty Dogs is beautifully decorated and well-maintained. It’s a short walk from the beach, and you don’t have to bring all your beach gear: they have chairs, wagons, boogie boards & toys at the house! My five-year-old son played for hours in the pool with a basketball hoop and loved staying in the kids’ room, which has a neat loft and bean bag chairs. There’s comfortable seating (as well as some shade) by the pool, and the screened-in porch makes a great place for afternoon reading. The house has a well-equipped kitchen for those who like to cook (Harris Teeter is just down the road) and is also close to restaurants on Sullivan’s Island and Isle of Palms, including walking-distance to The Boathouse. My son said it best: “I love this house!”

Sweet Memories!

We have loved our stay at Salty Dog IOP! The decor is stunning and the play never ends. We swam in the saltwater pool every chance we could and my littlest one loved the outdoor shower just as much! The precious hammocks and the ping-pong table under the porch provided a much needed break between jumps and splashes. The kitchen had everything needed to prepare a delicious meal and the large table made it easy to enjoy it with everyone in the family. We will be back!

WOW! WOW! WOW!

I had the wonderful opportunity to stay at Salty Dog for a few weeks in May of 2023. This house instantly felt like home. From the porch swing, to the kitchen, to the pool and overall location, we were thrilled from the moment of arrival until our departure. Our mornings and afternoons were spent with a short walk to the beach and resting by the pool. The beds and linens are World-Class. This house has everything!! and we will be back soon.
