Our local staff can provide recommendations for getting the most out of your stay. Our property managers are just a stone’s throw away from most of our rentals. That means they’re available to step in to help with any situation. Laura’s journey with SkyRun began in June 2023. She took a leap, and made the big decision to step out of “Corporate America” earlier in the year. Her main goal for this was to be able to focus her time and energy in the areas she has a bit more passion for – The great state of Colorado, service and giving back to the community, and VACATIONS! Property Management for the Short Term Rental community seemed to be the perfect fit. Today, she is not just the Owner, but also the Operations Manager for the entire Foothills territory. Laura PoladskyBoulder, COOwner Of SkyRun BoulderLet's Talk! Areas Things to Do What To Expect Check-In Instructions Property Damage Waiver Travel Insurance Pearl StreetNowhere more than Pearl Street captures Boulder’s true spirit. Bursting with street art, performances, shops, eateries, and history, Pearl Street is a car-free zone to explore all of Boulder’s spirit capture in one spot. Gold Rushers established this as a hub in the 19th century and today Pearl Street still serves as a hub of commerce and play. Wander through the shops as street performers capture your eye. Grab a craft beer at a local bar and take it outside for some of the best people watching in town. The FlatironsOn Boulder’s west side, the Flatirons rise from the Earth, craggy sandstone formations from the planet’s geological past. For locals and visitors today, these rocky landmarks give hikers, climbers, and outdoor lovers a chance to traverse these five masses. Hikers can set off to explore the trials winding through the forests. Rock climbers flock to the First and Third Flatirons for their multi-pitch routes. Even if something as lowkey as a lunch enjoyed outdoors is on the agenda, the Flatirons welcome everyone to stand below their towering presence. Boulder Mountain ParkSet off and explore the more than 45,000 acres of Colorado splendor. Spy the Flatirons and mountain ranges as you hike the meadows, hills, and mountains. Bighorn sheep, elk, deer, and vast wildlife make the park home, so keep a lookout for these park denizens. Eldorado Canyon State ParkScale the sandstone faces, hike the alpine trails, or just pack a lunch and enjoy it in the Colorado sunshine. At Eldorado, the outdoors open up for total adventure. The park has more than 500 technical rock climbing routes as well as hiking trails geared to visitors looking for an afternoon stroll to serious fitness enthusiasts wanting to push boundaries. Fish in the warm months then strap on the snowshoes for winter fun. Boulder ReservoirColorado might be landlocked but that doesn’t mean that sailing is off the water. Boulder Reservoir’s waters shine, primed for boating, fishing (bass and crappie are biting), water skiing, and swimming. Hikers can explore the trails around the lake or set off for the more challenging foothills. Wildlife enthusiasts, morning and evening are prime time for deer and elk sightings. Come and see why locals flock to “The Rez”. Legett and Hillcrest ReservoirGrab the kayaks or stand-up paddleboards and glide across the Legett and Hillcrest Reservoir’s shining waters. Maybe if you’re lucky you’ll spot a bald eagle soaring overhead. This Boulder spot is popular not only for water sports, hiking, and biking, but also for the catfish and crappies that are biting. Rocky Mountain National ParkRocky Mountain National Park has it all, including 8,000 foot elevations in the wetlands to more than 14,000 feet at top of Longs Peak. Late summer features alpine blooms and autumn provides the backdrop for the elk rut. Our favorite activities: scenic drives, wildlife watching, picnicking, fishing, horseback riding, driving Old Fall River Road or across Trail Ridge Road (the highest continuous highway in the US). Visit the Alpine Visitor Center (open May-Oct.) or hit the trails for snowshoeing (Oct-April). Pro tip: summer and autumn are high-traffic months. Visit Rocky Mountain National Park to learn the ideal times to hit the trails, the most up-to-date weather information, and the ranger-led activities. DiningDine under Colorado’s sky or eat your way down Pearl Street, named by Food and Wine as Top 10 Street for Foodies. Boulder brims with more than 20 breweries as well as wineries and distilleries to cap off your night. For a truly Boulder-only experience, grab a meal at Chautauqua Dining Hall, an institution since 1898. The Rockies keep their watchful eyes on this Boulder hub where you can savor farm-to-table menus and choose the perfect wine pairings for your meal. ShoppingPearl Street Mall with its more than 150 boutiques, galleries, and stellar people watching, is a Boulder must. Find the perfect Colorado gem at this vibrant marketplace. Beyond Pearl Street, the Boulder Farmers Market where all vendors are Colorado denizens and the market is committed to zero waste. Feel good about supporting local farmers and artisans while sourcing quality food and hand-crafted goods. More outdoor retail adventures await at Twenty Ninth Street. Look out at the Flatirons as you score finds from your favorite national retailers. Skiing and SnowboardingLocals refer to Eldora Mountain as a “hidden gem.” It offers a wide variety of trails for beginner, intermediate, and advanced skiers and boarders. While you’re there, keep an eye out for future superstars– Eldora’s Jr. Race Program has been known to churn out more than a few champions. Eldora also offers a host of other activities, such as alpine and cross-country skiing, snowboarding trails, snowshoeing, and tubing. Winter Outdoor FunThis is Colorado, after all, where winter comes alive. Boulder might not see the snowfall of other mountain towns, but that doesn’t pack fun away for the season. Lace up the boots for one of Boulder’s winter hikes–Canyon Loop and Red Rock Tail are two favorites. Drive about 30 minutes and fly down Eldora Mountain’s slopes or explore the area on two wheels. Cozy up in a brewery to thaw after your outdoor escapades. SpasColorado’s designation as one of the healthiest states in the country doesn’t just extend to working out. Boulder’s spas and wellness community massages your way to total relaxation. Mani-pedis have you looking your best and an assortment of body treatments works out those kinks. Choose the vibe you want for your pampering–in Boulder, you can tailor your bliss. Hiking Easy hikes, winter hikes, heart-pumping hikes, accessible hikes–take your pick as you set off in Boulder and the foothills. Boulder itself has 155 miles of trails and many more line the surrounding area. Chautauqua Hiking Trails rim the Flatirons and inject a sense of awe in the shadow of these monoliths. Wood Quarry Trail winds you though an old quarry–a few enterprising individuals have even turned the stones into a sort of outdoor living room! First and Second Flatiron Trail gets up to the Flatirons–a must. Easy to a total outdoor workout for body and soul, pick the right Boulder hike for your mood. FishingDon’t let the climbers and hikers have all the fun. Boulder’s waters house trout, crappie, catfish, and more for anglers to catch. Boulder Canyon’s rainbow and brown trout bite and if you’re willing to hike a bit, avoid the crowds at South Boulder Creek at Walker Ranch. Ponds surrounding Boulder are perfect spots to fish for largemouth bass and carp. The town’s multiple reservoirs also invite all anglers to see if the fish are biting. Rock ClimbingIn 1906, an intrepid soul looked up and thought, “I can climb that”. We may never know if that’s what the first recorded rock climber actually thought, but we do know that he chose to scale up the face in Boulder. More than a century later, you can traverse Boulder’s vertical spaces in a town that takes climbing seriously. Clearly The Flatirons appeal to climbers with their sandstone challenge but other popular climbs include Eldorado Canyon, Flagstaff Mountain, and Boulder Canyon. Area outfitters have all the gear you need and climbing guides offer support for your climbing challenges. BikingMountain, gravel, fat, or electric–you can take your pick in this biking haven. Gear up and explore the more than 300 miles of bike paths and lanes. Gravel paths offer the chance to see flora and fauna thrive in the foothill paradise. When the show falls, fat biking is a gateway to Boulder’s snowscape. Even tour the town when you book a bike tour. Once you bike Boulder, you’ll see why the Travel Channel named the town one of the Top 13 Cycling Cities in the US. Arts & CultureBoulder’s call to outdoor fans rings loudly, but just as robust is the town’s cultural siren song. Walk throughout town and marvel at the artistry on display at the mah murals. The Museum of Boulder illuminates the area’s past and the Boulder Museum of Contemporary Art takes you to the artistic present. Catch a show at the Boulder Theater then head to North Boulder (NoBo) and gallery hop your way in this vibrant arts district. From the Boulder Ballet, Boulder Orchestra, to Boulders artists lining gallery walls, the arts scene thrives in this creative town. ToursTake your pick about how you explore Boulder’s sites and highlights: by bike, by foot,or by car. Then pick your focus. Uncover Boulder’s hidden past along the history tour. And since this is Boulder, plenty of bike and e-bike tours bring you closer to the town’s best on two wheels. Make a game of it with the scavenger hunt tour or bring it down a notch with a different kind of afternoon tea at the Celestial Seasonings factory to see the evolution of Earl Grey, chamomile, and chai from leaf to cup–end the tour with tea tastings then take home your favorite. With each sip, a little piece of your Boulder visit stays with you. What To Expect As local residents, SkyRun staff are available to help you make the most of your trip to Colorado. SkyRun provides photos, virtual tours, maps, amenity details and reviews about the property you will be renting. Our staff has first-hand knowledge of each property, so don't hesitate to call us if you have any questions. What’s included? Our rentals come fully furnished including TVs, high-speed internet, linens and towels, a microwave, dishes, pots, pans, and other kitchen essentials. We sweat the details and provide supplies like shampoo, conditioner, tissues, paper towels, dishwasher detergent, soaps, trash bags, etc. We provide everything you expect from a fine hotel, and then some. Refer to individual listings to see more amenity information, and please contact us directly if you still have questions. Am I getting a good deal? When you book direct with SkyRun you avoid paying service fees that traditional listing sites like Airbnb and Vrbo charge. Our prices are also competitive with rent-from-owner rates, but we offer professional service, optional travel insurance, and immediate on-site assistance should the need arise. In addition, we offer exclusive discounts from local businesses, available only to SkyRun guests. SkyRun can help you plan and save on your entire vacation experience, not only the rental itself. We also offer a fantastic value on lodging booked within 30 - 60 days of arrival with our dynamically adjustd rates. How does travel insurance work? Travel insurance is an optional addition to your total rental charges. It is offered on our reservation form at the time of booking. It is also usually offered at the time of booking when you booked with a 3rd party booking site. You can also add travel insurance onto your reservation within 48 hours of booking with SkyRun. The cost of travel insurance varies and is usually between 7% - 9.5% of your total reservation cost depending on the coverage type. If you do not have travel insurance, you can not cancel your reservation for any reason. If you have travel insurance and need to cancel or make a claim refer to your specific policy. More information about the travel insurance policies SkyRun offers can be found here. How do I rent a property? What are the deposits and payment terms? You can rent any of our properties by booking directly on this website using a credit card or you can call to book a reservation if you would like to speak with a vacation planner. When you book, 1/3 of your total reservation cost or a minimum of $300 is charged as a non-refundable deposit to secure your rental. 30 days before your arrival, the remaining amount is due and becomes non-refundable if you need to cancel for any reason (see travel insurance above for exceptions). At this time, the credit card we have on file will be automatically charged for the balance. How do I check-in? For most properties, SkyRun utilizes a convenient keypad lock system which allows you to enter your vacation rental using a personalized access code, as opposed to having to pick up a key and worrying about keeping track of it during your stay. This also saves you the trouble of coming to a check-in center beforehand. Your welcome packet will be in your rental upon arrival, and our staff is always only a phone call away if any questions arise. What are the house rules? No smoking and no pets (unless specifically designated as a pet-friendly property) are allowed in the rentals. House parties and exceeding the maximum occupancy at any time are prohibited. As in your own home, renters are of course subject to citations for noise violations, etc, handed down by public officials. Remember you are staying as a guest in someone's home, where much investment has been made to make your stay enjoyable; please treat all private property with the respect it deserves.
