The only problem we ran into was we had an issue getting our door unlocked, and after a quick call, they got us into the condo in no time. The property was clean and welcoming, communication was great, and the views were epic. We loved having all the elk around the property every morning, such a great experience. Julie Stayed Oct, 2024 Great Condo I've been coming to Estes Park my whole life, grew up camping in RMNP. My parents got married there. It's like a home away from home, but somehow I was unfamiliar with the Mary's Lake area. Lovely! Very quiet with beautiful views. What a perfect location...secluded a bit, but being a short distance from everything. The condo was excellent! Super clean, comfortable. Loved the big sectional couch! Nicely decorated. I really appreciated the quality of everything. The hot tub being off to the side of the unit was a bonus. Aside from the occasional car driving by, it was more private than it would have been on the deck if you have neighbors outside. I brought too much stuff. This place was loaded with anything I needed. One minor fix? There seemed to be a motion-sensor light between the outdoor stairs and the front door. Sometimes I noticed it come on, but other times it was quite dark between the steps and the front door. Also wish the complex had a recycle dumpster. Really enjoyed my stay. Very easy to get to highway 36 Into the park. Elk were across road in morning and evening. Only issues were the dryer was not working and the hot tub in unit above would drip down to our deck below when in use. So might be a problem if that unit was in use the time you wanted to be out there as well. I let the manager know when we were leaving so dryer was to be fixed and owner of above unit contacted. Due to the nature of the spaced deck boards some dripping is to be expected when people are getting out of the hot tub as opposed to copious amounts of water due to splashing. The Heat wasnt working and it was freezing weather when we arrived at 4am also it was so windy that the snow was coming through the front door seal. The managers contacted us and were able to get accommodated with another/ different Condo but I was just the whole hassle of the situation. We also Drove through a snow Blizzard going up the mountain back home. Other than that we Had a good stay Host's response: We are happy you enjoyed your stay. The weather in the mountains can indeed be unpredictable. We did try to reach out to you around 4pm, when we learned of the heat being out. We made several attempts to call, text and email you. Only downside was upstairs tenant is very loud with music, stomping, talking etc. When we called for a noise complaint to the property manager, we were told we had to tell them to be quiet ourselves as they dont manage that property I guess something to think about in a condo stay. The whole condo was extremely clean and had everything we needed. The fireplace wasnt turning on for us so we texted to get it fixed and we got a response right away and maintenance came within 30 minutes of us calling. The hot tub was great after hiking in Rocky Mountain National Park and the kitchen was fantastically appointed with every gadget you could need or want. The floors are paper thin. If you have someone staying above you it could get very noisy. When booking I requested an upper unit and was told that they don't have any control over where I got placed. Unfortunately for us, we had some very active children above us. Banging until afterpm and starting up again atam. After this visit I will pay much closer attention to the fees charged by Airbnb hosts. This unit is not inexpensive to rent, however, adding $100/per day for cleaning and "service" fees left a bad taste. Particularly when one request I had was never answered (I was told I'd receive a call back and never did). The second was a noise complaint where I was told by the hosts that they don't handle those and I was to call the local police. I wasn't about to call the police on children who were also on vacation, so I just lived with the noise. When booking, guests have complete control over which floor they are on, so I am not sure who you spoke with previously that would have provided the misinformation that this is outside of what can be controlled. When asked, we are always happy to advise guests as to what level any given condo is on. Given that all of the condos are unique and individually owned properties, you are not simply reserving a hotel room that can be placed anywhere or moved at whim, you are reserving that specific condo, which has always been on its given level. I am sorry to hear that you were disturbed by noise from guests above you, however our response to noise complaints is that guests need to contact the local police if concerned. The complex is a quiet neighborhood and all guests and residents are expected to abide by those guidelines. All of our fees are clearly outlined when booking, there are no "extra" or hidden daily fees added in later, so I am not quite understanding your complaint in regards to that. I am sorry that the amount paid left a bad impression on you, but this was all information you had prior to making the reservation. We wish you all the best in your future travels. Blake Stayed Feb, 2020 Review Great location with fantastic views, close enough to Estes Park to get to anything within 10 minutes, but far enough outside the city so it's incredibly quiet. Super clean! Skyrun staff are extremely responsive and helpful, the unit was empty the night before we arrived and they were nice enough to let us check in early. The unit had tons of towels, soap, kitchen basics (salt/pepper/spices/olive oil/etc), laundry detergent, coffee, etc.Only a few minor downsides. The construction of the unit is definitely "builder grade". For example, doors/windows aren't well sealed, and snow blew in through a crack in the front door during a particularly strong wind/snow storm. Very little (if any) soundproofing between this ground floor unit and the unit above, so you can clearly hear every step taken above you. The TVs aren't "smart", so if you want Netflix/Hulu/etc, bring your own Roku/Fire Stick or a laptop with an HDMI port. Spotty wifi, but being in a remote mountain location, I think that comes with the territory. The place does have a great hot tub, but it does face the main road servicing the complex, which isn't shown in the pictures.Overall though, would definitely recommend booking with SkyRun, and we would probably stay in this same unit again. Really close to the national park. The only downfall to the area is if you go to nice restaurants, you will be surrounded by rich people complaining about anything and everything. However, slightly disappointed with amenities, no cream or sugar despite 3+ coffee makers, no laundry detergent, or hangers in coat closet. My sister and I stayed with our husbands to do some hiking and to enjoy the views of Rocky Mountains. Saw elk right outside the condo almost every morning and sat in the hot tub and could hear them bugle at night. Loved the decor and comfy beds. Very modern, which was perfect! A lot of places out in the mountain can be dated but this place was perfect. It is ground level, but there are still breathtaking views of the mountains. Everything was spectacular... but of course there were a couple things. First, a toaster would really help. Second, I understand and totally agree that cleanliness is essential, however, $259 for cleaning is the most I have ever paid by twice over Airbnb accommodations. It shocked me in the beginning when I saw the price added, but the more I thought the two kind people who cleaned this place did a great job, probably took them 2 hours max, and I paid $259 for it.. We recommend Rock Inn- wonderful food, quick service, and homemade desserts prepared on site. Favorite siting was to see 2 moose and some pretty birds and lots of Elk. We went to the Rocky Mtn National Park for the day and enjoyed different hiking trails. This is a beautiful and comfortable condo. It was very relaxing time - so nice to just get up and make our breakfast without having going out to a hotel lobby. Felt so homey and comfortable yet elegant and lodgey. The kitchen had more than what I thought as far as being able to cook. Kids loved the hot tub. Only thing I wish is that there was a vcr. There wasnt a way to watch a movie as a family, the cable with constant commercials wasnt going to work. Also wish all the little ropes of light wrapped for decoration had working batteries. The only complaint was the hot tub was pretty dirty. And there was not a snow shovel so we had to wait for the maintenance crew to shovel the parking space before we could get out. Close to downtown Estes Park (but not walkable). Beautiful view across a valley. Easy to get to. From the parking lot, there are about 5 wooden steps down, then three long, wide concrete steps--low risers. The first night we were there we sat on the front porch and watched a herd of elk come up the valley and right into the yard. Because it's illegal to do anything but observe them, they ignore humans. We got to watch them eat and play together. It was an extra treat one can only get in this area. The condo is a nice two-bedroom. Two very comfortable king beds, two baths (one jacuzzi), fully equipped kitchen, gas fireplace, comfy living room. The hot tub on the side porch has several seats, but only comfortably fits 2-3. We cooked several meals in the kitchen. We were quite satisfied with everything. Carol, the manager, made herself available through text and phone. She was great to work with and extended herself for our benefit. We would definitely go back to this property and to other properties managed by Sky Run.
