Nora Stayed Jul, 2024 Review For a 5 night stay, it would have been nice to have had enough toiletries and cleaning supplies (dishwasher soap, laundry detergent, etc.) for our full stay. Host's response: Our listing states we provide a starter kit of the items you mentioned, which is industry standard. There is a Dollar General and a grocery store not far from this condo. This condo is a great place to make home base. It is not far from town or RMNP yet away from the crowds. Take some time to relax in the hot tub after a long hike! It was a bit different to stay at because it was run by a management company rather than an owner, so they only responded to questions during business hours. There were a couple of slats missing on the blinds, the master bedroom shower curtain bar kept falling off and there was a light burned out above the island which made the kitchen a little dark. All minor things but all in all enjoyed our stay. The scenery is beautiful and the cabin was really nice. Would recommend putting hand soap in the restrooms. Stayed Sep, 2022 As Pictured The unit was very clean, well stocked, and as pictured on the listing. The hot tub was nice and easy to operate. However, the bedding was yellowed, frayed, pilling, and did not fit the mattress. There is also no duvet cover, and the duvet is just placed between two flat sheets. I now see that this was brought to the owners attention in previous reviews (which is completely on me for ignoring), and nothing has been done about it. And also as mentioned in other reviews, there is an ask for a tip for the person who cleans the unit. This is very off-putting since we paid a very large cleaning fee. Which leads me to believe very little of this actually goes to the cleaning crew, and we were overcharged. Host's response: Thank you for your review. I will forward your comment regarding the age of the bedding to our Operations Coordinator. Putting the duvet between two sheets is and industry standard. Sheets are laundered between guests so the duvet is always covered in clean linens. The 'cleaning fee' is all the fees lumped together, cleaning, laundry, trash. SkyRun hires professional cleaning and laundry services, the fees go to the people who perform these services. Estes Park is an expensive place to live with a short tourist season. Residents who work hard during the summer to serve our guests have to stretch their income into the slow winter season. Guests are in not obligated to leave a tip. Danny A. Stayed Sep, 2022 Perfect Experience This condo was everything that it was advertised to be. The condo and property both were very clean with good views. The check in was extremely easy and it had everything we needed. The only regret was that we never used the private hot tub. The thing we really liked was the condo was at a perfect location for us. Just far enough from downtown Estes Park but still close enough to be convenient to the stores and restaurants. The entrance to the Rocky Mountain National Park was just down the road. It was great to have laundry onsite and a full kitchen as well for our family stay.The only suggestions for improvement would be stronger curtain rods for both bathrooms, as even when gently opening/closing we had multiple issues with them falling down. The only complaint I have is that we spent over an hour finding it, and had to call emergency after hours to help us find it. Not in town but still within a 10 min drive of pretty much EVERYTHING. We watched the big deer and elk come right up to the condo every evening while we set in the hot tub on our deck and morning while drinking our coffee! We did not find it that way at all. The hot tub was clean and very pleasant, the kitchen well stocked, and the beds comfortable.Only small complaint about the unit - the sheets! So pilled that it felt like crumbs in the bed. Even my husband, who usually doesn't notice these things, commented. And, the FEES. After paying the very high cleaning fee, they suggest leaving a tip for housekeeping. I did, because I suspect very little of that cleaning fee actually goes to the people cleaning the unit. I can only say that we were so desperate for a post-covid vacation that we sucked up and paid it. Host's response: Thank you for your feedback. We are happy you enjoyed your rental and its amenities. The "cleaning fees" are actually all of the fees (cleaning, trash, booking) lumped together. The fees for the professional cleaning service are just a portion of that. It was very clean and we got great use out of the hot tub and fireplace in the evenings when we were wore out from adventuring each day. The hot tub was not working when we arrived, but SkyRun was quick to send over a tech (within 15 minutes) and had it working properly in no time and it was nice and hot when we were ready to use it that evening. It has two nice sized bedrooms and two full bathrooms, one bigger than the other. The kitchen is well stocked, for a rental. The unit is mostly well cleaned. There are ample clean towels, trash bags, dishwasher detergent, dish soap and basic toiletries provided.Cons: Overall, the furniture is showing some wear and tear and could do with a refresh. The deck has a deck above it. We stayed for four days and because the snow from a previous storm hadnt been cleared on the deck above, even though the weather was lovely and we really wanted to eat on the outside table, we couldnt because it was like a constant rain as the snow melted onto our deck. Lastly, the 9-5 business hours arent ideal, especially since check in is at 4. Some ability to get support during the stay would be helpful. The spare bedroom/bathroom are more cramped but still usable. We enjoyed the hot tub but were there in the off-season which we appreciated because the hot tub is definitely front and center and doesnt offer much privacy from cars or pedestrians passing by.
