We stayed here with friends from August 30-September 4 and I have to say it was THE most lovely place we have ever stayed….spacious with decor that fits the area but is not overdone…very tasteful! The kitchen has everything in the way of cooking and baking, eating that you could ever want…you could cook a holiday meal for a family including dessert. Our friend caught fish ? right there in the Fall River and we watched and photographed hummingbirds at the feeder we brought to put on the deck rail. Along the river we saw wild turkeys and a beautiful bull elk! Listening to the river was so very peaceful. Every morning we went into the park early and photographed mule deer ? and moose. ? Our friends from Australia who stayed with us RAVED about this property and they have traveled all over the planet….and been to every continent! I ask the management to clean the trash can in the garage because it smelled as if something died in it! They said they would send someone out but that didn't happen. From the minute we opened the door we felt like we were in someone’s home not a rental. The kitchen was perfectly stocked with cooking essentials, including spices and other perks. The condo was very clean and we felt safe with the extra covid sanitation. Beautiful deck right on the river, deer came in the back yard. Gas fireplace was so easy to operate and cozy. Beds were very comfortable. Would definitely request this property again. We were inconvenienced by the driveway being sealed and had to park on a main road uphill from the property. We understand this would probably be done very infrequently but this meant we had to tote our belongings to and from car from up and downhill. Also had to “bear proof” the car when not in use instead of parking in the garage. Trash in garage had not been emptied and couldn’t get our garbage in that bearproof can. Annette B. We stayed here in July…Location, location, location…nicest place we have ever stayed when in EP on the river. The facility is just charming with its quality furnishings…touches of Aspen trees and wildlife…but not overwhelming. The large windows let in plenty of the scenery and sunlight. I can’t overemphasize the well furnished kitchen…it must have been furnished by a real cook…even BBQ utensils. With the upstairs loft overlooking the downstairs family room extending to the deck, there’s plenty of room for family to be together or find quiet time alone. It is well stocked with puzzles and games…even a card table and four extra chairs can be brought out. I like that there’s a drying rack and fan in each bedroom closet as well as a luggage rack. Just a mile from the Fall River entrance to RMNP it is ideally situated. I write this recommendation with some hesitancy as I am afraid once the secret of this outstanding property is discovered by the masses, we won’t be able to book it without planning far in advance. We can’t wait to go back! Patrick W. Stayed Jul, 2021 Family Base Camp This is the fourth property we have rented in the Estes Park area and was by far the best. Very impressed with the amount and quality of room and all the extras. Extras like good quality cooking utensils and pans, decent quality food storage containers, aluminum foil wrap, good grilling tools, garage door remote, even flashlights for those way early morning starts on the trail. We stayed in late June 2021 and had sunny mornings with rainy late afternoons as a weather pattern. This place was great all around for our family of eight and we would come back here again anytime, highly recommend this unit! One small suggestion for the owner to make everything completely perfect, invest in outdoor furniture that does not have cushions. With the daily rain the cushions never fully dried which made it difficult to enjoy the deck as much as we would have liked. Simple metal furniture that we could wipe off and sit on our own beach towels would have been great! 9.8 out of 10 overall though and can't wait to come back! We fell asleep to the sound of the roaring river every night. One afternoon we arrived back at the condo and the backyard was full of elk. They spent the afternoon hanging out just across the river. The condo is only a few miles from the Fall River entrance to the Rocky Mt. National Park. There is a great walking path close to the condo as well. So just a heads up, it would have been nice to have had at least the steep part of the drive to get out. Also could hardly get to the front door to get in due to the snow. Again we chose to come in the winter and the place was more than expected. But with the amount of the cleaning fee, you would think some snow clearing would be included. After a water main break in the rental we had booked, Sky Run was great to work with and put us in this home. The kitchen was very well equipped, which was great since we decided to cook all our food instead of order out (no indoor seating due to COVID). The home was very clean! We had one issue with a tub drain being very slow, but I sent an email and a repairman was there within 2 hours and it was fixed!! Great service!! We had plenty of space for us and our children to spread out and enjoy our time together! The younger kids loved playing in the snow by the creek behind the home. Not only is it immaculate and tastefully finished but the owners obviously are “cooks”! The kitchen is fully furnished. My first criteria for a place in Estes Park is to be on the River and to be able to hear it when I fall asleep....I got my wish...I was even rewarded at in the morning with a bull elk walking across the river. Wow! There is lots of natural light in the condo. Two KING bedrooms, twin bed bedroom and a foam sleeper sofa make for a perfect family gathering place...sleeping 8. The owners have thought of everything...extra fans, towel drying racks, luggage racks... and of course a brand new washer and dryer...make yourself at home! It snowed while we were there and we saw coyotes and a bobcat. You are surrounded by the Rock Mountains in every direction. Entrance to the RMNF is right up the road. We stayed for Christmas and got to enjoy snow and seeing the creek freeze over. Outside of our window we saw a few coyotes and a rabbit which was pretty neat.
