The house was cozy and comfortable (except the master bathroom tile was ice cold; a couple extra rugs would be nice). It was just my husband and I and our dog – she enjoyed all the big windows and multiple sunny spots to lay in. The morning we left, there was a huge herd of elk on the front lawn. We had a few maintenance issues due to a bad storm. The team was there to assist with and fixed the issues promptly. Terry and Jeff from Skyrun provided outstanding service - helping my family at 2AM during the storm. The property is beautiful, well appointed, and very quiet. It is away from the touristy areas but an easy 8 min drive to anything. The driveway is unpaved but the main road to it is. We were delighted to find caribou standing outside the house one day. Love the layout and spacious rooms as well as the amazing view of the mountains. The nicest place we have ever rented in Estes Park. The only drawback was the WiFi/ TV situation. The TV did not seem to have any apps for streaming, Hulu, Netflix, etc. Tried to watch Hulu directly from our iPad to the TV but the WiFi was too weak to support it. Would ask for hangers in the closet. 2. If you are not an early riser, be aware that the master bedroom looks out to those amazing peaks and that a lot of light comes in to the bedroom in early morning. The place is very spacious and having the outside patio, living room and family room was great. The garage was large and cleared. The kitchen was fully stocked, and all appliances worked great. The experience would have been better if the master bedroom had blackout drapes that could be closed. Most people sleep better in the dark. The bedroom has many beautiful windows with great views during the day, but the current curtains were very thin and not useful at night. We were awakened by the full moon and the early morning sunlight. Also, the stone floor in the master bedroom was cold and there were no mats. We've stayed in many different places in Estes Park over the years, and this is by far the nicest house we have rented. It has awesome views of out every window and the patios are great. It was spotless and well fitted out. The kitchen is large, with nice appliances. Between COVID and some of the people in our group having food allergies, we cooked most of our meals at home. The cooking utensils, spoons, spatulas, etc, were a little flimsy but it wasn't the end of the world. The furniture and beds were all comfy, and we felt perfectly at home during our stay. Since the house is set back from the road, it can be a little tricky to find. The road makes a circle, and Google Maps couldn't quite get us there. There is only a blue house number sign on the edge of the driveway to mark out where it's at. It was still light when we got to the house, so it only took us one loop to find it, but I think it would have been hard to find at night. We were just a group of 4, so the house was a larger than we needed, but it was great that everyone could have their own space. This is a totally personal opinion, but the master bathroom didn't have a door, just an open doorway into the bedroom, which I thought was kind of weird. I shared the master bedroom with my husband, so it didn't matter...but it was still kind of strange. All of those little issues are just personal nitpicky things, and overall the house was amazing. It's close to town, but yet far enough outside of town that you aren't super close to neighbors and have beautiful views. We had 3 adults and 2 children and more than enough room (which we needed with the two kids!). The kitchen is enormous, which was wonderful because we ate almost every meal at the house (darn COVID). We loved having the separate living/tv area that was kind of away from the main living space, as well as the large patio right off the kitchen, we spent a lot of time out there! We didn't get to use them, but there were several puzzles and games available which were a nice touch. The internet was quite slow when we first got there, so with having to stay caught up on work made it pretty hard and frustrating. But the management got the cable company out to work on it within a couple of days and it did improve. Management was very responsive and took care of what we needed quickly, thank you! Definitely recommend this home if you appreciate having some space and a nice outside area. We would definitely come back! The Place We Love! Lots of room for our family of 7 to spread out. Feels like you are far away from everything, even though you can see the neighbors close by. Loved that it was just a short drive to downtown and the RMNP entrances. Will definitely stay here again. Reason for the 4/5 rating-The only issues we had were that we were told if we call ahead when we got into town (drove 16 hours) we should be able to get in early since no one had rented ahead of us. We called around 1pm and were told to call back at 3pm, when we called back we were then told we couldn't check in until the normal 4pm time. This was fine, but would have been nice to know when we initially called, as we would have found something to do instead of waiting around to check in. The other issue was that putting the trash in the garage was starting to get pretty smelly. We called the office and were told there wasn't anything that could be done unless we wanted to haul off the trash to the pay dump ourselves. We were told they wouldn't pick up the trash until the end of our stay. A man from the maintenance crew did show up on our last night to remove the stinky trash, so all is well. We look forward to hosting you again! Nicole C. Stayed Jun, 2019 Gorgeous Mountain Retreat This hone was absolutely gorgeous. It was very spacious and a truly relaxing place to stay. There were views from every window. Several bull elk visited the yard nightly. The property was a bit out in the country which I loved, as my 5 year old son had a blast running around the yard playing kickball and tag. We enjoyed cooking in the enormous kitchen. I would love to stay in this home again! Raina Stayed Nov, 2018 Review Beautiful home with gorgeous views of Longs Peak and Twin Sisters. The kitchen is big and well stocked. We cooked almost all our meals there. There was lots of room for seven adults, a four year old, and two infants. Clean and comfortable. Easy access too. We all want to stay here again! We stayed at the Snowline Vista Lodge in Estes Park for my daughter's wedding weekend. Upon arriving at the house, we couldn't believe the fabulous mountain view from every window. We enjoyed beautiful indoor as well as outdoor spaces. The house was spacious, well-appointed and spotlessly clean. (Only one small suggestion: there did not appear to be linens for the sofa bed in the den.) The staff at SkyRun Vacation Rentals were so accommodating and we appreciated so much their assistance in providing a beautiful home for us to enjoy during a perfect wedding weekend. The views of the mountains are spectacular from many large windows in this modern appointed ranch home! Very comfortable even when the temperature drops and one or both fireplaces are going.
