The Blue Farmhouse

Mitch's place is a few minutes away from a relative's home. Our family gathers there once a year, but we've grown with each new generation and not all of us can stay there. This place offers plenty of bedrooms and beds for the overflow. It's nice to have the kitchen, especially the fridge, for the food we bring. It's nice to have laundry, so we don't have to pack so much. The place is lovely, nicely decorated, reminiscent of mid-century farm living. We've only been here in the dead of winter - I'll bet it's very special in the spring and summer, and a great place for fall hunting season.

An absolute treasure! We had 3 couples and our grandson and we could all eat breakfast together in a charming dining room (rather than a busy breakfast space at a hotel). When we came back in the evenings, we enjoyed visiting out around the firepit and in the comfortable living room instead of someone's hotel bedroom. There are multiple gathering spots at this location: chairs around a firepit, table & chairs on the back deck, a gorgeous gathering space just inside the back door (perfect for a rainy evening), and a comfy living room ... it was perfect in every way! And, there is a basketball hoop on the detached garage/shed which gace our 11 yr old grandson something to do. This is the second time we've stayed here and we'll stay again when we come back in two years. Trust me - you'll love this place!

Great space for our large group and peaceful farmhouse away from the cities!

Perfect, peaceful house and surroundings. Just the place we wanted to stay as a family of six adults travelling to USA for the first time from Australia. Mitch met us at the house when we arrived and showed us through the house. We had everything we needed for a great stay of nine days.

The house was spacious and welcoming. There were lots of areas to hang out both inside and out. The sand hill crane could be heard morning and night. There was even one in the yard when we arrived.

Mitch had a great place and felt like home! We loved that it worked for our family CHristmas and we could all be together for a couple days!! Very easy to get to. Bonus is that it's a couple miles from our daughter's place! Thanks Mitch for a great 1st time experience of renting on airbnb!!! Will be trying this place again!!

Mitch was a gracious host. He was responsive and flexible. The place was prestine, clean, beds were comfortable, the yard is perfection, cozy and the kitchen was a fully stocked for all of your needs. This Airbnb was perfect for our group. The beds were great and comfortably slept 10. the kitchen was perfect for what we needed. The backyard, fire pit, and patio was great! Mitch was also a very good host for us. 10/10

Great piece of property and well appointed farm house! The house had everything we needed and we made sure to enjoy the fire pit and s'mores supplies! Mitch is incredibly responsive and was quick to help us out with something we needed shortly after check in. If you're looking for a place to relax and get away from the daily hustle and bustle you should stay here.

A farmhouse full of possibilities! The house was centrally located for our needs but could possibly be tricky for some in bad weather. Use of the garage was VERY helpful in the blowing snow & anything else you could need was provided. Thank you for a well stocked, accomodating stay!

We chose the location becasue it was close to a family gathering. The farmhouse is fantastic. Very beautifully appointed. The farmstead is picture perfect. The kitchen is well-supplied, the laundry is new. Wifi was quick and responsive, the tv channels were widely varried. We live about two hours away, and if we ever want to have a place to get away, this would be it. We were there on a beautiful winter weekend. Clear skies and fresh white snow. Pheasants in the yard. I could see this as a great place to sit around the firepit on a summer night, a wonderful place for fall colors, a great place for hunters and fishermen, perhaps even a Dickens Christmas. Thank you for a great place for the weekend.

Awesome place to stay and awesome host. Our company used their house for like 10 weeks. Very nice place to stay and very Gracious host. If are in town again we hope it's available to stay there again.

Great place to stay with a group... fully-stocked kitchen & lots of tables and seating! We also loved all the cute touches inside!

Great place to stay Kay is awesome!!

Me and some friends rented this farmhouse becasue we were all in town for a wedding. 10 of us stayed here and although it seems like it would be crowded we definitely all had ample space to hang out and we all had such a great time between wedding responsibilities, playing cards and watching movies. We of course utilized the fire pit.

It was so nice to be so far away from other houses so we could stay up late chatting without worrying about disturbing any of the neighbors. As remote as the farmhouse is, town is just a short drive away, and although this has little to do with the Airbnb itself, I think it's important to note that the closest grocery store is very well stocked with amazing produce and meat, dairy, and wheat alternatives for all of our friends with allergies and dietary restrictions. So if you are vegan or gluten free, there will be plenty for you there!

Overall our stay was lovely. Going on a quiet morning walk, cooking in a very well stocked kitchen, and hanging out with friends around the campfire every day was more wonderful than I could hope for. The bride and groom noted that having all of their friends in one place was one of the highlights of the wedding week and I couldn't agreee more! I would love to rent this farmhouse again if I ever find myself near Long Prairie, Minnesota, which is unlikely, but one can hope!

Beautiful farm house, peaceful country

Kay's place is well maintained, as described and pictured. It was perfect for our weekend at a wedding nearby! Kay was responsive to communication, and answered all my questions. Check in/out couldn't have been easier. We'd recommend this property for anyone in the area, but especially it was nice to have a "home base" for a wedding vs. staying in a hotel.

Oh my goodness! If you're looking for a sweet & charming home for a stay -- this is the place! You feel like you're miles out in the country, it's so peaceful and quiet but you're actually close enough to town that it's super convenient (if, say, you forgot eggs for the pancakes!). It was absolutely perfect for kids, adults & grandma. The linens on the beds are amazing and the beds were so comfortable.

She has all the cooking utensils you need and plenty of tableware for meals. We'll definitely be frequent flyers

Absolutely beautiful home! Much needed get away with an ample amount of peaceful energy to go around. Kay was extremely sweet and accommodating for all of our needs and we couldn't have asked for a greater host.

This house was an amazing find! Lots of sleeping options for groups/families, super clean, and lots of amenities to make the stay easy and fun (WiFi, towels, bonfire materials, etc.). Quiet location with interesting wildlife but not far from a grocery store and small towns for activities. When we had any questions we always received a prompt response. Would stay again!

Had a great stay! The place was clean and orderly with plenty of room for our large group. Extremely peaceful and you definitely have the place to yourself. The nearby town has a great place to get pizza and the local bar is welcoming and friendly. I would definitely recommend you book a stay here!

If you are looking for a Private & Peaceful place, this is it. Beautiful country setting with lots of trees. If you are a nature lover, the surrounding area has abundance of wildlife to view. It was the perfect place for our family to stay for a wedding.

The Farmhouse was wonderful for our family (adult kids & grandchildren) to stay for their sister's wedding in MN. We all enjoyed meals and activities there.

We stayed at the farmhouse for a get together with some family. It was wonderful. The home is beautiful, cozy and so peaceful. The yard is nice and big, lots of area for kids to play. Kay is a wonderful host and we hope to come back in the future.

Kay's farmhouse is an absolute delight! What you see in the pictures is what you get! The house was so clean and so nicely put together. We will definitely look into staying at Kay's place again. This was a perfect place to stay with our family for a wedding we had in Eagle Bend. It was perfect for kids! We felt right at home the moment we arrived.

The Little Blue Farmhouse is really not so little, with 4 comfy bedrooms and plenty of family gathering spaces. Everything was better than advertised and worked perfectly; a very well-equipped kitchen for our family cooks; air conditioning was a blessing on the hot weekend we were there. Groceries and necessities nearby.

A couple bonuses for us were the barn swallows feeding chicks in a nest on the front porch and a field full of fireflies on our first evening, near the fire in the firepit. Highly recommended.

Kay's farmhouse was very well kept and clean!

We loved the privacy of the property and having bonfires both nights we were there.

Kay does provide a variety of cookware and plates/cups/silverware for the guests.

The only hiccup we had is the stairs were a little narrow depth wise, so we made sure to walk carefully. But this factor was definitely not a hindrance and just more of something we started aware of. The stairs are typical for older farmhouses, so don't let it affect your choice to stay!

It was a great place to stay for our girls hangout weekend, and everyone felt comfortable throughout the stay.

We had a great time! There was so much space for the dogs to run around, we were able to do a fire one night and played lots of yard games. The house was amazing as well. We had plenty of space to gather and hang out. Everything was amazing.

The house is so clean and they kept the feeling of a country place although much appears to have been remodeled. You have everything you need inside and the grounds are great for spending time outdoors in your own private space. The countryside is beautiful and the bird life all around was incredible. The attached garage and covered porch made everything so easy. We loved it.

Staying at Kay's farmhouse for the weekend was a much needed get away. We nad an amazing time and the house was absolutely beautiful. We would definitely love to come back and stay again!
