Let's Talk!

Maple Syrup Tours and Sugaring

Come to Okemo to eat the slopes (sort of). Okemo Mountain Resort marks the sugaring season each winter and spring by bringing sugar makers to the slopes for guests to snack on “sugar on snow” — warm syrup poured over clean snow and scooped up with a wooden spoon or stick into a toffee-like candy. If sugar on snow has you wanting more, schedule one of the Vermont maple syrup tours to learn and taste more.

Shopping

If you need to pick up the latest outerwear, gear for the slopes, or Okemo-themed gifts, the mountain’s three shops allow visitors to stock up and head out. Nearby Ludlow offers shoppers a quintessential New England village dotted with books sellers, clothing retailers, and unique gift shops to mark your Vermont stay.

Dining

Stay on the mountain and indulge in Southern-style BBQ or authentic Mexican cuisine from the resort’s taqueria. Head into nearby Ludlow and pull up a chair for a steakhouse meal or kick back with American fare at one of town’s outdoor patios. Celebrate your best runs with tapas during apres and add a craft cocktail to top off the night. Explore the tastes that the area adds to your stay.

Snowshoeing and Fat Biking

Make Okemo Mountain your home base when you venture to one of the nearby fat biking trails. Most are located between 15-25 miles from the resort and offer both groomed and ungroomed paths. For snowshoers, head out across the street to the Fox Run Nordic Center where your reward is jaw-dropping views of Okemo Mountain or go a little further afield to one of Okemo Valley’s snowshoeing paths.

Mountain Coaster

Don’t let the snow on the ground stop you from whipping down the mountain on the Timber Ripper Coaster. Speeding down 3,100 feet of rollers at speeds up to 25 miles per hour, thrillseekers actually control the speed of the ride–full bore for the adventure-inclined and maybe a little slower for the little ones. Don’t pass up this four-season attraction.

Spring House Pool and Fitness Center

Gather the family for a volleyball game or sweat it out during racquetball. The Spring House Pool and Fitness Center complements Okemo’s outdoor sports with a fully equipped fitness room, pool with children’s splash pool, Zumba, and yoga. Head to the water and enjoy aqua aerobics. Check the resort’s website for hours and ways to book court time.

Ice Skating

Lace up for spins and axels (if you dare) as you take to the ice at Okemo’s Ice House. Rentals are available and when the rink’s temperature dip, walk over to the adjacent building to warm up fireside.

Snowtubing Park

Ditch the skis and snowboards and grab a tube for a day stuffed with smiles, laughter, and thrills. Okemo’s tubing park adds to your stay’s winter fun. Check the website for ride requirements.

Golfing

Nearby Fox Run Golf Club’s 18-hole, par 70 course features multiple tee areas on tees and fairways and each bent grass greens challenges golfers of multiple abilities. Book a tee time to take in the mountain views. If mini-golf is more your scene, Okemo Mountain Resort’s 18 holes features a history of the region and a choose-your-own adventure course to maximize fun.

Scenic Chairlift Rides

Sit back and take in the sweeping mountain views as you sail up the slopes in one of Okemo’s chairlifts. Make a day of it by hiking and picnicking with a ride up or down. Whether you want a laid back experience to start your day or want to catch a ride down at the end of a hike, the chairlifts offer a chance to see Okemo in its summer glory.

Haulback Challenge Course

Merge bonding and fitness as your group tackles 25 elements like the Seesaw, Barrel Crawl, Burma Bridge, Big Foot Platform, Indiana Jones Bridge and more. This is a self directed course that is great for your whole group.

Camp GOKEMO

Give mini-explorers a chance to get out and discover the Green Mountains with the Outdoor Explorers Camp. Daily activities vary but include biking, hiking, golfing, swimming, chairlift rides, arts, crafts, and exploring local attractions. With day passes up to full summer experiences for campers in grades first through sixth, kids will connect with nature in a whole different kind of way.

Okemo Bike Park

Sail down the mountain when you take a trip on one of the trails. Take the loft up the mountain and let the natural decline in elevation guide as you ride down. With trails for varying ability levels, you can plan the right ride for you and your group.

Hiking

Hikers delight in Okemo Mountain Resort’s three trails. Moose Trek climbs three miles and gives hikers views of Mt. Washington straight into New Hampshire. Bear Climb gains 1900 feet in 2.5 miles, making it a challenge for hikers upping their games. The Healdville Trail rewards its guests with views of the  historic fire lookout. Regardless of the route, all trails highlight the show Vermont puts on each summer.

Coleman Brook Mining Company

Treasure hunters, get ready to test your luck! Pan for gems like rose quartz, fool’s gold, emeralds, aquamarines and stones. Once you have your treasures, check the identification charts to see what you’ve discovered.

Okemo Ski Resort

Delight in Okemo’s 121 trails and 20 lifts that mean more ski time, less wait time. Featuring Southern Vermont’s highest peak at 2,200 feet, skiers of all ability levels can play on more than 200 inches of snowfall per year. Snowboarders, test your skills and up your game at one or all of the six terrain parks, including a half pipe, a family-friendly park, and advanced offerings.

Mount Snow

With its access from major East Coast areas, Mount Snow delights skiers with four mountain faces with 16% Green Circle, 66% Blue Square, and 18% Black Diamond for multiple ability levels. An average annual snowfall of 150 inches blanket the ten terrain parks and the half pipe. A summit elevation of 1,700 feet amps up the fun and 19 lifts mean less time standing in line and more whooshing downhill.

Timber Creek Cross Country Ski Area

Just across from Mount Snow lies Timber Creek Cross Country Ski Area. Nestled in the Green Mountains, the Nordic skiing course offers cross country skiers and snowshoers multiple trails of powder to explore. With its proximity to Mount Snow, avid skiers don’t have to choose between slopes and trails–have it all.

Magic Mountain

If you crave a laid-back vibe merged with a heavy dose of rugged beauty, head over to ski Magic Mountain. With an expanded five lift system, wait times are shortened, meaning more time for fun. Seasoned skiers can run on the resort’s expert slopes, but fear not–Magic offers skiers of all levels a chance to play.

In most cases, guests will access a property via a lockbox or smart lock using the given access code. Early check-ins can only be confirmed on the day of arrival.

Parking may be limited. The check-in instructions email will contain information regarding parking at your property.   Any parking fines assessed to your vehicles during your stay will be billed to you if they are billed to us.  Parking fines can be significant.

Property Damage Waiver

Enjoy peace-of-mind with our incidental damage protection.

SkyRun includes a property damage protection waiver on each reservation. The damage waiver covers damage to the property up to $1,500 so long as the damage is accidental and reported to SkyRun prior to your departure.  It does not cover damage that is willful, the result of negligence, or damaged caused by the misuse of household items.  It also doesn’t cover unreported damage.  SkyRun doesn’t charge our guests a refundable damage deposit in lieu of the waiver. Unlike a refundable damage deposit, the damage protection waiver is nonrefundable.

If during your rental of our property, you damage the real or personal property assigned to that property, SkyRun will cover the cost of repairs or the cost to replace the property up to an amount not to exceed $1,500. Should the cost of the damage exceed $1,500 or does not meet the criteria for a “covered loss”, and the property owner’s insurance policy also does not cover the loss, then you shall be responsible for the full amount of the damage which will be charged to the credit card on file.  Coverage is provided to you and all travelling companions that are staying in the home overnight during your stay.

Coverage is not provided for loss due to:

  • Your intentional acts or gross negligence.
  • Any damage that occurs if you are in violation of the terms and conditions (including but not limited to having more than maximum occupancy or having a party).
  • Loss, theft or damage to any personal effects owned by you or brought on the covered stay by you.
  • Loss, theft or damage caused by any person other than you or your traveling companions with whom you share the property reservation unless substantiated by a police report.
Your Duties in the Event of Damage. You must:
  • Take all reasonable, necessary steps to protect the property and prevent further damage to it.
  • Report the loss in writing (email ok) prior to check-out to the SkyRun staff.
  • Provide us documentation such as pictures to substantiate the claim.
