The kitchen could be better stocked with basic necessities such as hot pads, can opener, steak and utility knives. The refrigerator freezer doesnt freeze well and the dryer vent needs some repair. Shannon Stayed Mar, 2024 Review Despite some bumps we enjoyed our vacation. We were not contacted with a entry email, we had to call to get our code to enter the property at 4pm. We contacted the property manager with some items which should have been taken care of before we entered the property: lights/fans all on the same frequency therefore one bedroom turned on lights in other rooms vice versa. They were made aware of this before our stay but wasn't corrected. Dirty towels were left in the washing machine from previous tentant which we had to take out to do any laundry. Also, with us contacting the property managers with these issues and additional things, we were told we owed $60 for Manatee county tax that was missed with our air bnb total and that needed to be paid. Even though we enjoyed our family vacation, many things could and should have been correct before we arrived and not during our stay or after. Host's response: Shannon, we apologize for some of the issues. The light issue was scheduled to be addressed right before you were there and the guy that was going to come fix it got sick - but when we talked about it, you did tell us not to send anyone. The towels, that should never happened, but the reason was is because we don't let our cleaners do laundry in the home and put it back out - instead we get it professionally laundered and all new stuff gets put in (including comforters). We had a new cleaning crew on and because they don't do the laundry in house, they did make the mistake of not double checking it. To the last two parts, airbnb won't send us your email which is why we send out the automated text asking for your email, which we never got so we got it to you at the time of check-in, and the tax; we have no idea how that glitch in THEIR system happened, but I understand that it makes us look bad because we are the ones stuck paying it. With all of this, I do want you to know your feedback has been addressed and we aim to make our processes better for the next trip! We particularly enjoyed eating some of our meals in the enclosed sunroom, which had a large table that seated at least 8 people. The sun shines in this open room because of all the glass windows , and feels like you are almost outside in the pool area. We, also, played board and card games in this room every evening. The pool area, also, is awesome! A grill is available for cookouts and a Corn Hole game provided us some family fun, as well as the Foos Ball Game in the house. The kitchen has all of the amenities acook needs, and the beds are comfy. Also, if you need to wash clothes, the washer and dryer are inthe attached garage and easy to get to.
