When we arrived it was dry dirt road and we had a significant amount of snow during our visit. Sky Run had it plowed quickly. I would not have wanted to drive anything but an AWD or 4WD vehicle up the driveway. The location is halfway between Estes and Lyons and sits right by the Roosevelt National Forest. You can hike directly behind the cabin. We also found a ton of hiking options nearby. The cabin is well equipped and in good repair. The cleaning fee was quite significant but after being there and realizing how far someone would have to travel to clean and how much space there is, it makes sense. We enjoyed the spacious kitchen, all of the comfortable seating, and the beautiful views. We enjoyed relaxing both inside and out. We loved using the hot tub before and after our daily adventures. The location is also worth mentioning. We drove into Estes the day we arrived and drove out towards Lyons when leaving, so we enjoyed different landscapes. We still enjoyed beautiful views without the stress of getting trapped in. My one and only issue is the sheets on one of the beds was covered in dog hair (we did not bring a dog). We had a short stay and didnt reach out to get fresh sheets but it does appear that the bed was remade and sheets were not changed from the previous guest at least on this one bed. Stayed Aug, 2022 Spectacular Mountain Cabin We were looking for a remote family get away in the mountains yet wanted to be close enough to Estes Park & Rocky Mountain National Park to enjoy all the activities they offer. This cabin was just what we were looking for. The owners have beautifully remodeled the cabin and it is fully stocked with everything you would need. John was so kind and quick to answer questions we had during our stay. The hot tub was everyones favorite way to unwind after a long day of hiking. Stayed Aug, 2022 Broadmeadow Hikes Our group really loved just about every part of our trip: The spacious cabin home is gorgeous, hot tub and fire pit were great, and the porch view of the valley with coffee every morning was phenomenal. John is an excellent communicator and helped set us up very well. Stayed Jul, 2022 Authentic Log Cabin This cabin is a great place to stay. Its tucked away and private, yet a short drive to Estes and RMNP. The kitchen is so well stocked with a drop dead gorgeous vintage vibe. Living room is large. The master bed was very comfortable. My family loved the hot tub after our hikes. This is a great place to stay. The only thing Id like to point out to other potential families with older teens like us is that the additional beds are in the attic with pull down stairs. Its way too hot in the summer to sleep up there but probably works well in cooler months. There is a second bedroom with a queen bed and a bunk bed room. We ended up bringing in our portable mattress to put in the bunk room so each of our tall teens had their own bed. This place comfortably sleeps 6 in the summer. But theres plenty of room if you bring your own blow up beds. We would definitely come back here again and recommend it to friends and family. Beautiful cabin!!! Shonda C.
